... am going to a family cook-out. It is still overcast from Danny, but is supposed to get sunny. I sure hope so.

...read six dollars' (U.S.) worth of 5YG comics that I picked up yesterday while in a caffeine-induced spending frenzy.

(That's three comics, BTW. Yep, happy days are here again, just like in the song.)

I could do without everyone's Mick Jagger lips, but other than that, the story's pretty entertaining so far...

... tried to cut the grass in the back yard this morning but a mystery insect/spider/something landed on the back of my head and stung my finger when I brushed it off. I never even saw what it was, much less avenged myself upon it. That's what I get for being to lazy to look for my yardwork gloves. My wife made me come in, I guess in case I keeled over. Then it started raining, so that was that for my productive day.

...wrote 2 of the essays I am required to submit for my work term. 2 more to write, hoping to get them done tommorrow.

..sulked for about 10 minutes, then decided to just get over it.

... started on my cross country train trip to Seattle.

Bought a new car.

(and i could really fancy that train trip quis. Its sounds a real adventure)

...found out I'll be having a root canal tomorrow.

What a drag it is getting old.

...still need to take a shower...

... went shopping for school. Alas, the new wallet I bought has a defective zipper; I'll have to take it back.

...am celebrating last night's rainstorm by actually getting some chores done. For a change.

... made a huge pot of spaghetti sauce. Plenty to go in the freezer.

...offered to take my neighbour's dog 5 days a week while she's in school in Halifax.

I hope it's a well behaved dog.

...helped cat-sit for the neighbors. Was rewarded with a boxful of free produce. (Mmmm... pears...)

...continue to suffer from The Sinus Infection That Would Not Die!

...wondered if a really hot curry would clear up Lardy's sinuses, of if that's just an old wives tale.

... am enjoying my last few hours of freedom before college starts on Tuesday.

...travelled across parts of eastern-to-central Ontario I'd never seen before en route to my new university town.

... got my second stay of execution on my pending layoff. First it was August 31st, then September 21st, now October 30th.

Apparently my employment status is much like my first apartment 18 years ago: month to month. Hey, for now, I'll take it.

...started college. I'm on my first break. So far so good.

...had my first day of orientation/GTA training. Mad at my bank for still not clearing $ deposited Wednesday.

...am trying to crawl up and out of the slough, emotion-wise.

Bah.

...had a strange day. Yesterday, too. It's left me so numb, I didn't even go to the comic book store today.
