... called the gas company. I was smelling some gas near my stove. The gas company service tech did not detect any leaks. He thoiught that it is the residue left by the gas near the pilot lights reacting with the humidity.

,,,found my efforts at compassion to be sorely tested by two <strike>idiots</strike> women at the laundromat. It was a Vril Dox moment... except that he would have had them off doing his errands, while I just endured them.

Little BB was what is now known as a "latchkey child," Ma BB working at the factory into the night to keep us housed and fed.
If she wasn't working overtime, she'd wake me up 11:30ish so we could have time together and watch "the monologue." When money was good, before coming home she'd stop by the White Tower for bacon butter burgers with mustard and an onion slab, chocolate malts and onion rings.
Today I got a visit from Ma BB...
those onions do set a little heavier than I remember...
