Thanks guys I had a really good and busy weekend. First up my daughter came home from Uni to see me (well Ok it was to go to one of her friends birthday parties, but I still got to see her) Then after a bit of shopping we set off for St James Park (the 52,000 seater stadium of Newcastle United) where Jennifer was going to throw her self off the top of the stands for charity. There was a zip wire there to stop her making too much of a mess on the pitch. There were a few of the re enactment group there to offer support so after we had all had a good laugh at her screams we went to the pub. There we were able to see a bit of the cup final and have a bite to eat and a beer. Shame I missed most of the final as it looked like a good game. We got home and then decided to go out for a beer. Her lad was staying at his dads so it was just the two of us. On Sunday her lad came back early to go off to Air Cadets so we had most of the day to ourselves. After going and sorting out my dads’ birthday cake (He’s 70 on Wednesday) we headed off up the Tyne valley for a short walk. It had to be short as I seem to have hurt my knee a couple of weeks ago and its taking a long time to heal up. Then time for a swift one in a tiny little village pub before heading home. I was due to make Beef Wellington for the family to all sit down to that night and even if I say so myself it turned out pretty good. My birthday present was two tickets to the opera on Tuesday so I am really looking forward to that.
