Inspired by a thread over on Dr. Gym'll's...
When you read posts on Legion World, what celebrity/personal/other voices do you hear in your head whenever LWers post?
Let's see...
Cobalt Kid -- Matt LeBlanc
Poverty Lad -- Seth Rogen
Exnihil -- Jeff Probst

You guys have voices?!?! (Kidding, I kid.) Like with comics, I don't really hear any voices... disappointing, huh? I'll take Anna Faris, though! My voice isn't as deep as hers and I talk a lot faster but she's a cutie. And funny!

Apart from those who I actually have heard speak:
Fat Cramer: Linda Elerbee (OK, bit of a dated point of reference there but, still, the exact voice I hear when FC writes... soothing like a Sunday paper and a mug of coffee)
CJ Taylor: a young Elijah Wood, circa “Ice Storm”
Bicycle Repair Man: Christopher Eccleston as “the doctor” (I don’t even know if BRM is English, but that avatar always makes me hear him with that northern accent)
Everyday Girl: no specific celeb but, rather, my nine year old niece… excitable, out of breath, ending every sentence with the upward inflection of a question mark.

Dolly Parton You slay me. And Kent sounding like Donald Southerland..whoof.. I'm jealous. Like Cali said though, I don't really hear voices (not that kind anyway and do NOT ask me about the dog) unless I'm writing and then MY characters have their own distinct voices in my head. The closest approximation I can give for Triple G that anyone would recognize would be Kenneth the page from 30 Rock. Yellow Kid (in fanfic) sounds like Charlie Sheen and Blackout sounds like Tommy Lee Jones.

Raymond Burr was also the first person who came to mind when I thought of Quislet, Esq. Originally posted by Exnihil: CJ Taylor: a young Elijah Wood, circa “Ice Storm” And I imagine a young CJ Taylor to sound (and look) much like Peter Billingsley (Ralphie from A Christmas Story).

Awesome thread.
But why hasn't anyone done me yet? I'm dying to know who you think I sound like.
As for my picks, they are, as usual, all from the talent pool of cartoon voice actors and actress from my childhood. Some of them are deceased, but I won't say who so as to not freak anyone out.
Cobalt Kid -- Mark L. Taylor (Ronnie Raymond on Super Friends)
Fat Cramer -- Shannon Farnon (Wonder Woman on Super Friends)
Rockhopper Lad -- Michael Bell (Zan on Super Friends)
Kent Shakespeare -- Olan Soule (Batman on all but the final two seasons on Super Friends, and Professor Martin Stein on the final two seasons of Super Friends.)
Quislet, Esq. -- Don Messick (so many different voices, but I'll single out Papa Smurf.)
Abin Quank -- Frank Welker (another man of a million voices, but I'll single out Fred Jones.)
Caliente -- Cathianne Blore (Kimber on Jem.)
Lad Boy -- Charlie Adler (Eric Raymond on Jem.)
kidflash2fan -- Bobbi Block (Roxy on Jem.)
veryvery -- B.J. Ward (Princess Allura on Voltron.)
l.e.g.i.o.n.john -- Buster Jones (Doc on G.I. Joe)
DrakeB3400 -- Neil Ross (Springer on Transformers.)
I'll add more as I think of them.

Hm, you know, I hear voices when people post (I hear voices generally all the time, but thats besides the point), but its hard to pinpoint who I actually hear.
Stealth, for some reason when I read your posts I picture a Demi Moore-esque voice. (I'm ambivalent about Demi, but she sure has a great voice!)
For people like Abin and Pov, who I've met several times, I hear their actual voices. Abin has a deep voice with a hearty laugh so its very distinct.
This is harder than I thought.

Demi's voice is kind of similar to the voice of Mary McDonald Lewis, who played my favorite G.I. Joe character, Lady Jaye. I know who I think I sound like in real life, but before I reveal that, I want to see what other people picture.

Speaking of Charlie's Angels...
STU's voice would be that of John Forsythe, who voiced the never-seen Charlie Townsend on Charlie's Angels.
As Dark STU, the voice would be that of Frank Welker, as he voiced the never-seen Dr. Claw on Inspector Gadget.

of those of you I've met, I hear my recollection of your voices.
of those of you I haven't, I have vague generic voices based on gender, region of the country/planet you are from (or claim to be). My 'voices' for AFOB and Matlock are very similar (although Matlock's voice is of an older person).
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

Originally posted by Ram Boy: Stealth - Kathleen Turner a few decades ago Well, I have been known to affect a British accent. Personally, though, I think I sound like Juliette Lewis. Like her, I talk slowly and with weird, rather spacy, inflections. One of my ex-therapists tried to make me feel better by saying that I talk that way because I'm a deep thinker.

I've seen Caan in movies before, but had to YouTube him to recall what his voice sounds like. Interestingly enough, the first video I pulled up was an interview on Inside the Actor's Studio with James Lipton.
Coincidentally, James Lipton is exactly how I imagine a certain LW sounds when I read his posts.
