Did my baking marathon last night. Had a good time at the potluck today. (Probably the last year for it, as our host is "retiring.") Really great evening.  Tomorrow I'm temping, so it's off to bed now. [smooch] and  to all celebrants on the LMB!

As we near the end of 2016, I am thankful for:
- Being part of this community, and being able to give succor and solace to those members less fortunate than I.
- Knowing I can count on other Legion Worlders to be there for me, in good times and bad.
- Having gotten to know Lash as well as I did during what turned out to be the last few years of his life, and to have been able to call him a friend. Also, and most importantly, having his last PM to me be a heartfelt statement of forgiveness for a truly awful faux pas I had committed just a few weeks earlier.
- Being able to be there for my circle of friends other than those I have made on the Internet, and especially for my closest friend, the sister I never had, who has experienced terrible losses and upheavals in her life this year, as has her partner, a true prince among men.
- Finally finding within me the confidence I'd lost pretty much right when I started Kindergarten almost 40 years ago, and using said confidence to rush headlong into the pursuit of my dream of becoming a freelance writer, middle-age be damned.
- Being able to look forward to starting my first day job in which neither customer service nor a dress code are involved, this coming Monday.
There are other things I'm thankful for, but they're too personal to share here.

Best wishes on the new job Ms. Fanfic.
I'm Thankful for long time friends and family that hangs in there for each other. A job (two actually) that matters to me and downloadable library books. Been a bit of a rough year in some respects, a tragic death by accident in the family, four at the school, a few incarcerations in both but there are those that keep me grounded and smiling when I focus on the wrong things, life goes on.
