Trawling through the MB archives, it seems that it's been ages since a good old fashioned leadership election.
Sure... Mayavale staged a brief, unsuccessful coup last summer, but the fact remains, this current administration has been in place for well over a year and this board needs... Change!
... or... Hope!
... or... Action!
... or... well... Something else else!
So... olly olly oxen free, Election Tyrant. If ever we needed your unique brand of campaign administration, we need it now.

This is as good a place as any to make the following announcement: To all members of the LMBP, LMBP Leadership Elections are being indefinitely suspended while the The Legion World Department of Moral Pureness investigates allegations that certain members of the LMBP are not, in fact, whom they appear to be. The LMBP holds such power that risking an imposter taking its leadership holds a significant security risk. The DMP is working with the Office of Security to investigate the matter. In the interim LMBP co-Deputy Leader and Head of the DMP Clive Taylor (Virgin Lad) will be acting as LMBP leader. Current elected Leader Faraway Lad and co-Deputy Leader Nova Girl are temporarily relieved of their duties because of suspicions raised due to their recent unexplained absences. It is hoped that the alleged infiltrators can be quickly weeded out and the democratic election process restored to the Legion of Message Board Posters. Legion World Department of Moral Pureness Legion World Office of Security I hope that clears everything up to everyone's satisfaction! Have a great day!

...or...run them out of Legion World on a super fast monorail! (whoooooooooooooshhhh!)

StuRat, Eryk Davis Ester and I have decided the RMB also will be getting a new leader. However, since we're more of a disorganized, counter-culture movement, no one is running and no one is going to be elected--we've simply appointed Dr. Mayavale as our new leader.
Whatever happened to that trip into the mountains we took a few months ago? Its a mystery but suffice it to say, its led to some dire tidings for Legion World.

Sorry, Clive, but I, for one, refuse to live under a... Purocracy? ...Moraligarchy? Whatever. I, too, throw my support behind the one candidate who really knows how to throw his weight around: (cleome for Deputy Leader... somebody's got to do the work.)

Isn't it time a lurker was elected LMB Leader? Wouldn't that be quite the historic event!
Yes we can!

I'd vote for Lard in a Legion World minute. And I'm not just saying that because it's the "in" thing to say, or because all the really "cool" LW members are saying it. No, I believe fervently...
*looks up fervently
...yes, with a glowing fervidness that he's the right man, at the right time. He'd bring to the job a ferocious fertileness that we haven't seen before. And if I'm wrong, you can smack me upside my head with a ferreous ferule.

Is it legal for me to sell my vote ? Or would pawning it for food be more acceptable ?

"Will Veep For Food," does have an inspiring ring to it. If our platform includes legalization, it might help defray any controversy about that pot brownie incident at the '05 New Year's bash...

It seems that there's been a coup in the time I was at the tropical beach-side condo under the hot sun, sipping cold rum cocktails and frolicking with the surf-soaked tropical lads. Er I'd like my office back Clive.
Not withstanding my ouster, isn't there a constitutional clause barring 'born again virgins' from office? Do we need these hypocritical puritans telling us what to do? Do we boys? In the name of all the heroic LMB who came before, I burn a line in the sand and I say DEBAUCHERY TODAY, DEBAUCHERY TOMORROW, DEBAUCHERY FOREVER.
Excuse me now, I have to get back down there. Golf lessons, shopping and maybe some partying this weekend as you know.
