I thought someone asked Mark Waid last year before the relaunch if Superboy was going to be in the new LOSH and his reply was, "not in the first year".
Also thought I read a month or so ago that LOSH wasn't going to be effected by the events of I.C.
Food for thought.

More thoughts. ***(JSA spoilers but not big) Waid said no old villains in the first year. #13 Mordu for sure. I mean he's appearing in the fifth dimension in the same month over in the JSA. I have this wierd feeling Jakeem or Star Girl may join...or both! Star Girl certainly fits in with the Legion though she does break a major rule she powers are not innate.

DIDIO: Legion takes place 20,000 years later how can it possibly affect it?
WAID: In issue # 13 or 14.Wild and almost baseless speculation: Both Power Girl and Superboy (Kon) will wind up in the 31st century - and stay there.

I could be wrong, but I *think* Waid said no old villains for the first *couple* of years. Could've changed, though-- I'm not sure where he posts most often? There could easily have been an interview I missed, too. From the JSA solicit: "After this issue, two members of the JSA will never be seen again." But will they be seen as members of the LSH? Courtney and Jakeem are the age-appropriate members... neither of them would've qualified in 'old' Legions... not sure about this one in regards to 'artificial' superpowers.

I seem to recall Waid saying in one of the early interviews that there would be no prohibition on heroes with artificial powers this time around.
I'm betting right now that there's some sort of connection between the JSA and Legion story, but it's not as blatant as members leaving one team and joining the other.

In an issue of JSA (or was it Hawkman) there some comment by a fortune teller that she ages backwards. Doesn't really make sense but we will see. I took it that she was from the future. Geez, if they make Power Girl 16 I don't know if I will be able to take it.

i'm so excited about all this possible news regarding the LEGION and the JSA both having connections to the 5th dimension in their upcoming books !!
i hope we are not letting our 'minds run away' and there is a connection !!??
guess we'll find out in a few issues time ........
Matthew.

boy, i see it like this.
Geoff is a big Legion fan. The Legion have already appeared in the JSA. # 50 I wanna say. (To my surprise BLOK! was among them).
If you think about it after the JSA the Legion is the next oldest major superteam at DC.
Mordu has been used LOTS over at the JSA. I think it's gonna happen.

I kind-of like the poetry of DC's first and "last" super-teams-- and the teams that were most-damaged after Crisis on Infinte Earths-- having a connection.
Not so sure I want that connection to be members switching out teams, though.

Maybe Star Boy will join the JSA as Starman? * * I really, really hope not. I don't think I want Star Girl or Jakeem in the Legion either.

the JSA needs Star Girl and Jakeem to symbolize the next generation of heroes. they're not gonna get rid of them.

I wonder if the reported delay for this issue has anything to do with the last-minute-scheduled back-up for this issue being pulled and included in #14 instead. Maybe Mark and Barry had to come up with several extra pages in the 11th hour?
