Found this on my weekly visit to the Geoff Johns board this morning. So here's the text courtesy of Comics Continuum. The cover presented is the same as we've been using for issue 12. DC Dec Solicits LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #13 Written by Mark Waid, art by Barry Kitson and Mick Gray, cover by Kitson. The dramatic endgame of the intergalactic invasion leads the team to the Fifth Dimension where Lemnos and Terror Firma make a final, deadly stand. 40 pages, $2.99, in stores on Dec. 28. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.legionworld.net/images/NewLegion/LegionofSuperHeroes12.jpg)

Please note the connections to JSA #80.
JSA #80 Written by Keith Champagne, art by Don Kramer and Champagne, cover by Alex Ross. The final battle between Mordru and Dr. Fate rages to its shocking conclusion through the worlds of Kingdom Come and Justice League: The Nail! Plus, the Thunderbolt vs. Jakeem to decide the ultimate fate of the Fifth Dimension! After this issue, two members of the JSA will never be seen again. 32 pages, $2.50, in stores on Dec. 7.
That is, Mordru and the Fifth Dimension.
Could a JSA member (or two) wind up in the Legion?
P.S. We're missing a cover!!

What's on the real cover of 12 and the cliffhanger to issue 11 that Barry was teasing about?
In Kingdom Come, JLA:The Nail, and the current series siver age-ish versions of the Legion are shown. So is a version of the silver age legion the default future of the DCU and could the whole reboot have been just a touch of gas from the sauerkraut-laden Oktoberfest that was Zero Hour?
So, as is the tradition here let the wild speculation begin:
Not too many teen-agers in the JSA that would make legion members, there's the whole Power girl thing though. Maybe the missing JSAers have something to do with Terra Firma.

How is the Fifth Dimension Legion related, other than through Mxyzptlk?
And I guess this settles the missing/not missing cover to #12 thing...

Dunno, but with both the JSA and the Legion in the 5th Dimension at the same time (so to speak), anything could happen. It seems the doppelganger Legion's warning to PG about Mordru will have come true. So are the red herrings of JSA:Classified #2 red herrings themselves?

Oh... somehow I missed the reference to the 5th dimension in the Legion blurb...
Well, *this* is interesting...
More fuel for the Lemnos/Mon-el speculation, plus a possible clue to who is behind Terror Firma?

Isnt Bgztl supposed to exist in the 4th dimension, according to old ADVENTURE records?

Does Mordu have any relations to the fifth dimension? Maybe they will use it as the Phantom Zone and find Mon-El there? May be Power Girl related as well.
Interesting...and suprising as hell.

Yeah, Bgztl is the 4th dimension. As everyone knows, decreased vowel usage is a sign of higher dimensional culture!

Could the JSA's final battle with Mordru somehow trap him in the 5th dimension? Is he behind this whole attack the UP thing.
Did anyone notice that the original solicit for JSA:C2 seemed to contain a bigger reference to Mordru than was actually in the story. Maybe Johns decided to tweak the story and moved some of it into this JSA fill-in arc written by the book's regular inker.

I wonder if "Otherspace", where Lemnos and his troops were located in issue #5, has anything to do with this.
And let's not forget the references to the other-dimnensional world of Rokyn (and it's erstwhile connection to Kara.)

Looking in the Encyclopedia checklist for any Fifth Dimension stuff...hmm? Sounds deadly doesn't it? Is Mon-El going to save the day (vs. PC Superboy).
ADVENTURE COMICS (Vol. 1) 310 "The Doom of the Super-Heroes! Part I"
The Legion attempts to stop the mysterious Mask Man, who has every super-power the Legionnaires have, from looting Metropolis. In the course of the adventure, Ultra Boy, Shrinking Violet, Chameleon Boy, Triplicate Girl, Element Lad, & Phantom Girl are killed. Reprinted in ADVENTURE COMICS DIGEST (Vol. 1) #500, June 1983 & in LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ARCHIVES Volume Two, 1992.
"The Last Stand of the Legion! Part II"
The Legionnaires build a citadel to fend off Mask Man’s murderous wrath. But, Mask Man easily kills Colossal Boy, Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Brainiac 5, Lightning Lass, Invisible Kid, & Mon-El. As the only Legionnaire left alive, Superboy deduces that the Mask Man is a descendant of Mr. Mxyzptlk, Mxyzptlk V. He tricks him into vanishing back into the 5th dimension which restores all of the Legionnaires.

now I wonder how does three planets, as suggested by Invisible Kid, get to save the universe have the connection to 5th dimension? Hmmm very intriguing

Hmmm very intriguing Another mysterious coincidence to ponder. Here's a recent quote from Keith Champagne about the upcoming JSA arc: "We're going to precisely THREE WORLDS the team has never been. Maybe 'realities' is a better word than 'worlds'"So, we have Lyle's "three worlds" vs. the JSA in "three worlds" (5th Dimension, Kingdom Come, JLA:Nail), and now both teams are battling foes in the same dimension. Maybe Three *is* a Magic Number (LSH #3 and LSH #13)

I could live with the Superboy and the Legion future that was an elseworlds a few years back. The nail doesn't work for me, cause he was never a kid.
Look, i love the legion book. Have for around thirty years now...but it's just not the same book without superboy. Its fun, waid is doing a nice job, Barry is doing a fantastic job, but man, would i love to see the sleek version that Grell and Davis did, with the full contingent of legionaires.
And while superman is usually not the best book to me, the Superboy and legion stuff was the best.
after all, without Superboy, there is no legion, i don't care how many times they reboot.
Damn you, you kids! Get off my lawn or I'm callin' tha cops!
Something pithy!

I already saw this last night as well as the JSA "connection." Can't wait to see how it all plays out. Not sure what it all means by screwing with the covers this way, but I'd suspect a Lightning Lad/Trom reason behind it.</strike>

More likely #13 prominently displays a new Legionnaire that they are saving as a surprise. Vi? or maybe Mon?
"Hey Jim! Get Mon out of the Zone!! And...when do we get Condo back?"

That's some cover (on the LW main page) - two in a row with silhouettes against gold light. Maybe the 5th dimension is a real dark place?
Does this mean that the first 13 issues have just been a prank by Mr. Mxyzptlyk?
I guess Phantom Girl can phase between the 4th and 5th dimensions as well, or she wouldn't have been on the cover to #12 (unless she stayed on Earth/Bgtzl) - do you suppose she's operating in several other dimensions at the same time?
Maybe this 5th dimension is the clue to the silhouette page we've seen in each issue....

Actually, the "cover" shown on the main page is Barry's teaser silhouette page that I'm using until someone leaks the true cover.
[EDIT: Image switched to the missing #11.]

Hmm... I wonder how many copies of LSH #13 I will buy just for the cover featuring Calamity King!

Hopefully we see Phantom Girl's silly origin reworked/cured somehow with her 5th dimension interaction.

Will Tinya's family be given more exposure this time around? We saw more of Winema Wazzo than any other member...what happened to older brother, Gmya and why wasn't the Lionel/Luck Lords sub-plot ever picked up when the whole Legion history started up again?

I kinda like her 3-boot origin. Very weird and science fictiony. If you don't like it just take the dumping of the Bgztl boyfriend as a decision to live in 3 dimensions from that moment on, explaining why we don't see her in odd poses all over Legion HQ.
This is much like the Thanksgiving Weekend of Freshman year dumping of the boy/girlfriend back home seen at college campuses around North America.

Sounds a lot safer than the cultures who still believe in arranging marriages...while the so-called bride and groom are still in their Pampers!
