I know, like me many fans hate the Sensor snakegirl. I think with the hypertaxis game, she becomes humanoid. But the big surprise was the ugly moster half snake half girl. I always say, I don't care a Snake in the team, but with another powers and origin. The only one Princess of Orando was, and is Projectra. We have, ten years without Jeckie. We lost her in the infamous Zero Hour saga. Before we see the young Jeckie die with Val and Reep. I want the returns of Projectra in all her glory, with the Sensor Girl powers and the Orakills. I wait for a hypertime storie, or a new introduction of the character. We read The legion of Superheroes. The Legion of Superpets is dead. Long live to The Queen!

One does wonder why they discarded a character like Projectra. They could indeed have introduced a snake being with other powers. I don't dislike Sensor, but Projectra was a strong character with an interesting and viable story. Of course, that goes for a lot of other characters as well.
I'd be happy to have her back, but how would it be accomplished? First, they have to kill off or retire the snake. That's not implausible, especially the way she's been acting lately. She could leave of her own free will, get called back to fulfill her royal duties, or be discharged for some transgression (the most interesting option, IMO).
Then Projectra could return, but they'd probably have to run her through the Academy now (or could someone jump the queue if they had proven their powers in another setting?). Of course, the hardest part would be rewriting or explaining her origin - another princess, with illusion powers, from a planet named Orando? A parallel Orando? I'll leave that to the pros.

Another possible solution is to reintroduce Projectra with different powers and different homeworld and different origin. But then, would that still be the Projectra we once knew? Somehow I don't think so.

They could still continue Sensor's mutation until she's fully humanoid. I like non-anthropomorphic Legionnnaires, but since they've half-humanized her anyway, they might as well go all the way.
I thought it might be interesting if she goes fully human, but maintains an illusion of her former snake-form whenever she visits Orando (or whenever she's in public period, for the sake of her own ego.)
