Justified & Ancient by KLF and Tammy Wynette Sometimes I miss club tunes of the 90s. Good stuff. KLF was huge in the clubs about 90-91. This was my favorite. The KLF ADORED Tammy Wynette and evidence of that is all there. Plus it has to be an early if not the first example of rap/club music meets country music. I don't usually regret giving things away but I do regret giving my CD single of this song to a friend who loved Tammy Wynette and never heard of this song.

Here's one from the late 90s... It Feels So Good by Sonique Oh no! I hate to read what's going on with her in the comments section. Felt awful too when I heard the singer in LaBouche died in a plane crash.

In Memphis 1990, no fag stayed off this dance floor when this song came on, yours truly included. Ride On Time by Black Box DREAMLAND is one heck of a great album. Then it came out that-- much like C&C Music Factory-- the vocals were supplied by hefty singing sensations Martha Wash and Loleatta Holloway and they weren't given credit. Lost respect for Black Box after that...

I think I'm freaking out that 1990 was... 20 YEARS AGO. How is that EVEN possible????

See, this thread clearly illustrates why I feel sorry for anyone who wasn't gay in the 80s and 90s. It wasn't 20 years ago. I was just yesterday, Baby. Keep telling yourself that....

Thanks Jerry-- it certainly feels that way! Originally posted by Thriftshop Debutante: What does it take to turn you on...now you're over 41?? This was a recent fave: Tik Tok by Ke (and I know I risk Stealth's wrath by posting this!) I like that the song samples "Love At First Sight" by Kylie Minogue.... just like her current single "Blah Blah Blah" reminds me of "Love For Love" and "Show Me Love" by Robin S!

Oh, that's one of my favorites! It's one of those songs that gets me dancing in my chair. I liked Duran Duran in high school, so I can get away with anything.

This one is at least 5 years old, but it used to be on regular rotation at the video bar here, and I grew to love the sexy, smooth song. Plus the guy is about 47 kinds of hot. I'm assuming he's in the band cause he's in other Atb videos. Amyway, I sought out other Atb songs and every one I've heard has been good! I Don\'t Wanna Stop by Atb

[/b]Awww, Lash, I could never get mad at you. We may not see eye to eye on Ke$ha, but look at all the common ground we DO have, spanning Bananarama to Lady GaGa.

Wow! Thank you so much, Lash! Since I share a birthday with Keren Woodward, I always play at least one Bananarama song on my birthday. The ones I play most frequently are "I Heard A Rumour", "Love in the First Degree", and "I Want You Back."

I Heard A Rumour was my first pick, but I decided on the smaller of the 2 hits. I'm odd like that!

One of the best things about growing up outside the States was that a lot of songs that weren't hits in the States were hits in Ecuador. I still have a cheaply produced cassette of then-current hits that includes "Love in the First Degree."

That's one of the best songs ever to come on at a bar or club when you're with your friends and everyone is feeling buzzed. Chaos (in a good way) usually ensues.
