Bumblebee's got to be the only brightly colored yellow character to be a master of stealth! (I guess with that drawback, he'd have to be...)
Man, I couldn't stand that little ... Volkswagon! (would that make him the only character partially designed by *Hitler*?)

I wanted to finish the original Decepticon jets, so here's... 11. Skywarp Function: Warrior Skywarp is crude, mean-spirited, sneaky, and rather unintelligent... all the qualities which make an ideal Decepticon grunt. Actually, Megatron rather likes Skywarp's sadistic sense of humor. Skywarp is a loyal soldier, because he's not intelligent enough to have the ambitions of several of the other Decepticons. Still, Skywarp has a rudimentary cunning that serves him well. Overall, he is a solid addition to Megatron's forces. Skywarp has one unique ability which serves him very well. He has the ability to teleport himself over small distances. He uses this mainly in combat operations, to surprise and confuse his opponents. Unfortunately for the Autobots, it works very well, as it is very difficult to predict where on the battlefield Skywarp will pop up next. Megatron also uses Skywarp every once in a while for special missions, usually involving retrieval, where his teleportation is a tremendous asset. Megatron tries to avoid relying on Skywarp in this manner, because of Skywarp's limited intelligence. He is just more suited to combat than anything else. Skywarp's speed, strength, and firepower are all quite excellent. Mix that with the unpredictability of his teleportation and his natural sneakiness, and he becomes a very dangerous opponent.

I wonder if the creators of "Robotech" got a piece of "Transformers" or got riled over how they got ripped off -- especially with the jets.

There was actually a legal battle over Jetfire. I don't knwo how it worked out, but I know that was part of the reason why his name was "Sky-Fire" on the cartoon.

How many of y'all actually tried to come up with your own Transformers? I used to do it all the time -- it was fun trying to figure out how to make a robot out of a helicopter or whatever and have it make sense. I did a bunch of them back in the day. I think I did a motorcycle, a helicopter, an angliosaurus (? - the one with the shell-back) and a few others I don't remember.

The only thing that we ever did like that was when we sat discussing how the Transformers' nemes would change if they were gay. Slag became Fag, Grapple became Apple, and Grimlock became Grimcock. (Of course, this was in my freshman and sophomore year of college, when I roomed with another Transformers nut. The good old days...)

Um...here ya go Jeffey. I thought I'd stop by with a gif(t). Let me know if it's okay, cause I couldn't remember how he transforms. I'll change it, if you like. I better go now. My BF doesn't like it when I linger in here. *dreamy sigh*

Good LORD, Gary, that's awesome!
One quick change, though... it's the red cab part that actually becomes Optimus Prime! If you keep everything else the same and let the red cab transform into Prime, it'll be about perfect!
I LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!

I always meet the guy of my dreams a minute too late! (Well, NOT always, hi baby!) Your BF is a very lucky boy! I'm envious! Jeff, can you show me a scene with his transformation or provide a link? I thought his head popped out the top and his arms flipped forward from the sides.

Waitaminit!!! I just got it!! That's his FACE popping in once the vehicle mode drops down!!! That's really cool!!! Okay, forget what I said about the transformation and whatever, that is almost PERFECT. The only thing he could maybe possibly need is on the face shot maybe a little more of his silver mouthplate and a little less of the little blue pieces underneath and to the sides of it!
I really feel very touched. Thanks SO much, Gary!

I've made some changes to it, but I'm still not totally happy with it. I'll keep messing with it a bit until I'm happier. Part of the problem is that I've made his head bigger than it should be for his body. But, it seemed to be the only way to achieve my goal at the time. If you prefer, I can shrink down his head or make the smiley larger to allow for a larger body. [I must learn to proofread!]

I think it looks pretty awesome -- I notice the little tweaks you've made to it and it looks a lot better - super job!

I think it looks great Gary! Makes me wish I could come up with an obsession like the Transformers to see what kind of smilie you could make for it.

Seriously, Nighty, it looks FANTASTIC. The arms swinging out and the little changes to the bottom of the face make it look near-perfect, and I really do LOVE it. I guess the only thing left (and it's EXTREMELY minor) is the little white diamond-shape on the top his forehead. But that's such a teeny tiny little detail, definitely don't worry about it if you have ANYTHING else more pressing to do. Christmas came EARLY for Kid Prime!!! Thank you, Gary.
