I dug out a picture for a friend and scanned it so I could show her, and well... if this isn't the place to show it, I don't know where is. A few years back, friends of mine had a fancy dress housewarming party, so who's Star Boy gonna go as but... Star Boy. Mum made the suit out of petticoat fabric and I made all the accessories... ;-D If you look way closely you'll see I'm wearing the custom Legion gold ring my friends got for my 21st birthday, which was the perfect icing on the costume cake. The yellow paint (housepaint I believe) never really adhered to the rubber of the gumboots properly... So one hot day I noted that they were leaning against the foot of my bed and had left yellow paint all over the end of the doona cover as it effectively melted off in the heat. Worked well enough on the night tho.
