LSH #50. A truncated ending to a year long story arc is never going to be a good thing. To make matters worse, the story didn't even hit any of the plot points that were promised on DC's solicitation for the issue. Forget the last minute change in writer and artist, at least tell the story that you promised that you were going to tell, regardless of who you get to tell it. By you I mean DC of course not, you know, you.

So what.

1) Shvaughn being a man
2) Destruction of Earth. Sledgehammer environmentalist crap message.
3) Jamm
4) The DnA Legion. I'm clearly in the minority here, but I liked the light tone of the so-called "Archie" Legion. To me, having the heroes be teenagers would mean they have a more juvenile idea of simple fun than adults with civilian responsibilities (and not, say, the in-your-face rebellion that the Waid/Kiston Legion thought was the essence of teenagerhood). The last thing they needed was "darkness."
4a) Specifically, the Timber Wolf-Fatal Five story - made no sense at all, given the Fatal Five's post-boot history.
5) That Levitz "Legion" story in the Legends of the DCU 80-page giant. I felt cheated. That was no Legion story, it was a retelling of Superman's origin with a bunch of Legionnaires as children for an audience.

I'd like to add Legion #50 to my list of worst Legion moments. It's not at the top of the list. But I guess Legion of 3 Worlds might come next... except for George PĂ©rez artwork.

Yeah, just have an Element Lad drum up some Gold Kryptonite and let Blok do the two-step on his head.

Oh, come now! The current 3 Legions story may have its flaws but it can hardly rank in the top 5 worst stories, ever, Shirley?!

^^^ Not to mention the 3 Legions have actually only been together about 5 pages and they don't just have Superboy-Prime to contend with but Mordru, Universo, the 'Justice League' and the whole Legion of Super-Villains!
