hey Barry Kitson- i know there are limits on what info you can share and when, but... can you tell us if you are designing new costumes for the Legionnaires? If so, please give us a glimpse when you can! Personally, i think almost of of them need some revamping. I like Cosmic Boy, Invisible Kid, and Spark as is. But Chameleon, Violet, and Brainiac 5 are especially in need of some sprucing up, and i wouldn't cry if anyone or everyone else got a make-over as well. I'd love XS in a Kid Flash inspired suit! Also, as a long-time legion fan, what's your favorite costume?

I think if XS lost the little girl haircut, sexed herself up, and turned the purple in her uniform to red, it'd be a start for her! Currently, I don't have an opinion of her, but that's b/c she hasn't done anything in five years!
I do remember liking her though, many moons ago...

XS has always been one of my favorite characters to come out of the reboot, along with Gates. I like the link to the Flash... it's a connection without making the entire Legion a legacy team. Her code-name was appropriate for the Archie-era Jenni; over-emotive, excitable, wore her heart on her sleeve. After what she went through with the Blight and Robotica, maybe an updating is in order. Maybe Mark can get her together with Bart for a mini-series... Tornado Twins!

I'd at least have liked it if she'd got the Kid Flash name, since it even sounds like a traditional Legion code name. At least give her a red/yellow color scheme, for crying out loud. She's Barry Allen's granddaughter!

I've always hated the XS name, but loved Jenni as a character. I thought one of the best parts of the early reboot was watching her grow from her first mission as "the speedster who runs away from danger" to become one of the most determined and dedicated members of the team.

Well, since Bart is now Kid Flash, why not call Jenni "Impulse"? It even has sci-fi connections, through the impulse engine.

Haha. Looks like I'm in the minority. I love the current costume and colors...even the codename XS...for Jenni! I wouldn't mind seeing her in a Flash-like costume though sometime for a party or for a mission.
Truth be told, I like the current crop of costumes. Vertical-lines, belts, and all. My only dislike would be Dreamer's outfit, just because I know Adam Hughes (or perhaps Chris Gardner) designed a hip number for Dreamy when she was a short-lived SW6 counterpart. I liked the design of that costume, though perhaps not so vampy and revealing in the front for the current Nura.

Hi Guys - think I'll just skip right past the Jenni debate for now and answer the original question I will be designing some new costumes and 'cherry-picking' my favorite aspects of some old ones - everything depends on what fits in with the overall story we're telling. Everyone wants to keep most of what's in pipeline secret, so I'm not expecting to be able to show much of the 'new look aspects' anytime soon - though I will check with Steve as to whether I might be able to post some of the 'rejected' versions nearer the launch if you'd be interested?
