If you get a chance, feel free to give Kid Quantum some old lady bloomers. I'm getting pretty tired of seeing her butt cheeks all the time

I'd love to see the rejected versions, when and if you're allowed to reveal them.

Wow! That suggestion went down well! I'll start making sure I have any rejected designs scanned and saved to show you.

Seeing the new rejected designs would be awesome, Barry!!! Having been somewhat in the minority lately (I'm growing very tired of the Chris Sprouse designs and think the LSH's costumes need to grow up a bit) I'm very glad to hear about some costume redesigns.
And in response to something Sanity said earlier... I like "Kid/Boy/Girl/Lad/Lass" hero names. I think they set the Legion apart and are a nice homage to the past. And they're comfortable as old slippers.
And I LOVE XS, so I hope she's in the relaunch!
White. A blank page or canvas. His favorite. So... many... possibilities.

I think I'm in bit of a minority again because I like the current uniforms, based as they are so firmly on the past. I mean if you look at Lightning Lad, Cosmic boy and Chameleon they all had a centre panel with black side pieces. So to me the centre panel look was a good update with a nice nod to the past. (They also echo the later Lightning Lad costume as well) which is not a bad thing. NEW costumes? Well lets wait and see first. But I do wonder if the "costumes to fit the story arc" comment may mean the legion changing costumes to reflect the story? (See Barry I told you Legion Fans will dissect every word) Sort of like using desert camouflage and whites in the artic etc. And let me echo Kid Prime, I like the Kid Lass names, they are a link to the past, they reflect the youthfulness of the Legion, which is one of its strengths. They could also be given these names as an insult by an antagonistic Government and take them and use them as a sort of grant two fingers gesture to the world.

How about... Nardo super-fatasses the entire Legion, forcing them all into plus-size outfits!

I wouldn't mind seeing some costume updates for some of the characters as long as certain characters like Cosmic Boy or Ultra Boy maintain something similar to the classic look they've had for decades (that's partly why I wasn't into the Legion on the Run costumes -- they were a total departure rather than an update). Others like Cham and Violet have gone through very different costumes in their time and could stand to have something more distinct. PS Thanks a ton for offer Barry! Your participation here is much appreciated and adds a new level of excitement to these boards - I look forward to whatever you have to share

I will be designing some new costumes and 'cherry-picking' my favorite aspects of some old ones - everything depends on what fits in with the overall story we're telling. Everyone wants to keep most of what's in pipeline secret, so I'm not expecting to be able to show much of the 'new look aspects' anytime soon - though I will check with Steve as to whether I might be able to post some of the 'rejected' versions nearer the launch if you'd be interested?I'm certainly interested Barry!! And PLEASE give me back my old "Cockrum based" costume. Many thanks Chameleon Boy (AKA: RAMWolff from News-a-Rama)

I am really curious about what era of LSH got you hooked, Barry, and what Legion costume is your favorite The first part is easy to answer, if somewhat revealing about my age! LSH was one of the first comics I ever collected - I think my first issue was #365 - the Curt Swan/Jim Shooter era with Neal Adams covers to boot! Before I even began trying to draw on my own I used to trace Curt Swan legionnaires and make little stand-up figures to play out my own LSH adventures! Hmmm, perhaps I'm revealing too much now... The second question I can't really answer - I don't go in for favorites in anything....I'm too fickle - I know I could give a different answer on any given day!

While we're on the subject of headgear, isn't it time for fin helmets to make a comeback??

DC has announced an upcoming Adam Strange miniseries, will that satisfy you?
"Gee, Brainy, what do you want to do tonight?" "The same thing we do every night, Bouncing Boy: try to take over the United Planets!!" They're B.B. and The Brain ...

I'm actually looking forward to the Adam Strange mini, mainly becuase of Pascual Ferry and how it'll touch upon various aspects of the sci-fi elements of the DCU. I also read in CSN that the fin helmet was a bone of contention -- we'll see whether or not it makes it in the 21st century version of the character.

Some people have no taste. The fin helmet makes Adam unique! I've always thought that Celebrand of the Wanders should have been his descendant and that he should wear a fin to signify it. Maybe in this post-boot universe?

Some of the current costumes are rather bland, so I'd like to see a change too. And I'd love to see the rejects!
Jenni's current look and name should stay, IMO.
I'd like to see Kinetix back in the green miniskirt look. And back as a human, of course.

I've no problem with new costumes, but I like it when most have some connection to the classic Silver Age get-ups. Pick a costume and keep it; don't change them just because the artist is bored and don't change them all at once. Remember, the costumes communicate a lot to the reader.
Whatever, please make it easy for readers (old and new) to jump in at any point. I think we lose a lot of readers because it's too hard to keep track of the story.
And all too often in the past, the story just wasn't worth the effort.
Just MHO, of course...
