Actually, that's not true...though Lard Lad is dead, his computer from which he posted has been programmed to post in his stead. He devised this in the past to cover for when he was out on secret espionage missions and the like.
How long will I continue to post in his stead? Probably not much longer, I'm afraid.
Still "Lardy" to my friends!

Hail Cali!
LMB leaders should have the power to revive dead characters, like Presidents get to pardon criminals.

Originally posted by Fat Cramer: Hail Cali! Yes! Finally we have returned to the purpose of this thread-- me! Kidding, kidding. I love to see what people think of the X-Men, since they are my *coughcough* <span style="font-size: 6px;">favorite team bar none.</span> *cough* Since Stealth mentioned it, I have to say I think a lot of my love for the Lobdell/Nicieza era comes from X-Cutioner's Song. That was definitely the crossover that spawned my <strike>obsessive</strike> interest in crossovers. It was really a strong story for some of my favorite characters (Sam, Alex and Rahne come to mind) and had a lot of interesting plot points. The other thing that makes that the "era for me", I think, would be the way the characters developed during that time. There was no problem for me to suspend my imagination, since I was, like, 10 when I read the books, so the plot issues didn't bug me. I liked the soap opera nature, the humorous dialogue and the relationships. I think what it comes down to is taste. The X-Men of that time were fully formed characters (some to their detriment but Jean and Scott can't help the way they're written ) with flaws and, like, "real life issues" or something. I dunno. There was just something there for me. I didn't care how dumb the Thieves Guild was or how grossly overpowered Legion was, y'know? Now, maybe, if I went back and read it, the gaping plot holes and stilted dialogue would bug me. But then? The way I remember it? Totally awesome. Also, thanks, Stealth, for the band. It was rockin'!

When you were ten reading those issues, I was about fourteen and the Rogue/Gambit agnst was at its fullest extent--and I was totally feeling that vibe myself!

So, as part of my post-Leader life, I decided to change my look a little... and I got my nose pierced! Me, as I am now (or was on Monday night, the day I got it): Close-up! Big grin. Blurry but you see the stud better. I really like it.

I thought about an eyebrow ring, Quis! But I'd heard if they do it wrong, it can mess up the eyebrow muscle. So, no. I like my muscles... functioning normally. Haha, you're so predictable, Cobie! But thank you! I do try. Thanks, Teronna, I feel sexy. I actually thought it hurt less than the piercing gun that was used on my ears. It was just kinda weird, having a needle pushed through your nose and then the stud being put in. But not bad at all.

It looks faboo!
And in honor of the day here's a part of a song I think you'll enjoy:
You wink, I laugh 'cause we know A little hug leads to a foot rub Then a hot tub Then a French kiss on a bear rug Do you like it Do you like it How about this Wanna try it? Oh, oh, oh I'll take that as a yes
I'll sing the rest to you later my sweet.

Well you know me. *flips hair* Actually, things are a smidge different as I've dyed and cut my hair and got a new man and a new job and am going back to school... but who's counting? Anyway! The point... Thanks, Cobie! Thanks, Stealth! Missed you both!

New men, jobs and haircuts are just part of this new revamped Cali, though she keeps the spunkiness of old, of course!
