Yup, I've been writing them all. I've been drawing from the cartoon and the Transformers Universe.

I don't know, at the moment I don't feel particularly amazing. Maybe tomorrow...
Allright, back to the books (and thanks for the support!)

Chili Con Carne Juan!
If he becomes a PhD, does that mean he will charge more for us to read his posts?

That's ten bucks. US. For reading the post, I mean.
Which meeaans....
I'M A DOCTOR!!!! Whohoooo!!!
My brain is mush at the moment, I'm generally a wreck, but I'm a wreck with a PhD. Whoohoo!!
Ejem.
I thought things went relatively well, there were some things that I didn't know, but nothing major. All in all I think the examining committee was reasonably happy...
OK, I think I'll post something more coherent later, when I can actually think. But now I'm going to party!
Juan
PS/ I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to get Legion 26 and the Companion! Because of Rememberance Day my comic book shop didn't get its comics today....

Name: Kenny
Age: 38 (I'll never grow up though!)
Where you live: Born and raised in New York City. Actually I was born on Long Island, but I grew up in NICE area of the Bronx!!! (believe it or not, it does exist). I actually live in Jersey now!
What you do: I earned a B.A. in commnications. I Work for the Govenment.
Legion info: I began reading the Legion in 1980 (I think I was still 14 yrs. old). I've collected everything at one time or another. I currently collect LSH, Titans, JLA and the Avengers. All collections are either complete runs (all incarnations) or close to it. The Legion remains my all time favorite. I loved the Giffen/Levitz runs(who doesn't?) I also liked the Bierbums(probably spelled that wrong). I got hooked on the vast cast of characters and I considered it a challenge to "keep up" with everything that was going on in the book. I started collecting around the time just before Superboy left the title and the Legion totally took over. I just about have their entire run from 1958. I eventually purchased Adventure Comics# 247.
My favorite characters: are Timber Wolf,Myg,Mysa and Grev Mallor. They have attitude and I love to see these characters interact with others. Have you ever seen Mysa angry?!?
Other things you like : I love to travel (as often as I can), movies, Animals, collecting things, hanging out with friends and sometimes just doing absolutely nothing!!! I also like to write. I even have my own "fan fiction" stories of the Legion...some I've shared on the boards. I love classic 60's and I am a big fan of 80's music, as well as Free-Style and club!
Anything else that you want to share: I got engaged this past Summer (in Cape May, NJ) to my one time girlfriend, from 15 years ago. We will be married next year! I guess it pays to wait sometimes.
Long Live the Legion!!!

Yeah! A doctor! Now I can leech off you for free! Seriously, good luck with your studies too, I have an uncle who's studying too, but I can't remember how many years he's been working at it. Here's my profile: Name: Paulo Age: sweet 16! Can I be Cub? Where: Way over here in the Philippines. What I do: Well, I'm a student, so I'm supposed to study, but I'm too lazy to do much of it Legion info: I was first exposed to the Legion during the SW6 era, and then read some reboot issues. Due to my limited budget, I would just scrounge up some back issues when I could. It was during Legion Lost that I got completely hooked, and now I make it a point to get the issues as they come out. Thanks to the Internet, I know a about the preboot too, and I've had the good luck (thanks to my aunt's collection) to have read many of the Levitz run and lots of TMK and the Adventure era too. Faves: KINETIX!!!!, Lyle, Brainy, Garth, Tinya, Vi, Chuck and Triad and Val, but I pretty much like everybody too. Other things: Mostly just hanging out with friends, and I read a lot. I actually used to like to study, but then I discovered a whole buncha friends who taught me how to do lots of other fun stuff. Anything else: At least half a dozen other kids here read Legion too, but none of them are as in love with it as I am yet, but I'm hoping I can change that. It's a wonder I get to post here at all, cause I'm pretty busy with schoolwork and other activities over there, but at least I have Legion World for fun. Haven't read any of the other profiles yet, but I hope I'll get around to it soon. Oh, and thanks to Cobalt Kid for letting me know about the Mission Monitor Board, and to everyone else so far for making my stay here pretty great. Now I have another reason not to study

Thanks for the invite, Cobalt, I won't be able to post regularly for a while, but I'm looking forward to when school's out again. Legion World's the best vacation spot around! And 22's not so old, you could still pass for 18, couldn't you?

Welocme Invisible Brainiac! Glad to have you on board. But, as a former teacher I would encourage you to keep up with your schoolwork and not let LW interfere with that. Getting good grades now will get you a great job later which will allow you to spend as much time on LW as you want in the future! (How's that for incentive?)

Kill the kids! Oh, just kidding.
IB There are a lot of teachers around here. Now go do your mathematics.
Of course, if you stay around here, like all good teachers I will either put on a video and tell you to let me sleep, or I'll tell you the story of how I got myself smuggled onto the Philippines.

Well, Blockade, I'd like to hear how you got yourself smuggled out of the Phillipines. Or were they glad to see you go?

Originally posted by Fat Cramer: Well, Blockade, I'd like to hear how you got yourself smuggled out of the Phillipines. Or were they glad to see you go? Heh, getting out didn't occur to me while getting smuggled in and yeah I think they were happy to get rid of me. Not having an entrance visa caused a bit of a problem when trying to buy a flight out to Hong Kong. I think I'll (unashamedly) tell my story anyhow. This is a Who are you thread. I was in Northern Borneo over the Ramadan and headed towards Brunei then to the mainland. Well for history buffs, remember Oliver North? In addition to other things, he ratted out the Sultan of Brunei, that the Sultan had given money to contras. Sultan not happy, said to US citizens, No entry to you! without visa. To get a visa you had to be on the mainland which I couldn't get to because I had to go through Brunei to get there! Not wanting to pay for a flight (cheap bastard that I am) I go to looking at the maps for a way out. Hmmmm, southern Philipines is close. There are smugglers and pirates that bring goods from Malasia into the southern Philipines, bypassing customs and duty in the only legit port of entry, a thousand miles to the north. I went to a Malay friend I had made, whose father worked for their coastguard. I asked him, had anyone ever tried to hitch with the pirates? The father didn't like the idea, knew I was going to do it on my own, so HE found a boat on which he thought I would be safe. After an overnight in the harbor and customs returned the captain's guns, eventually I was smuggled into Jolo, which is the region where the rebels (now Al Quaida) center. From there, with help, I worked my way north to Manila seeing one of the most beautiful countries on Earth, climbed a volcano, played in the rice terraces, and generally saw and met some of the most fantastic and friendly people. Oh by the way, if some lady comes up to you and regales you with stories of her daughter, how smart she is, how she can sing and play piano...Mom is looking for to marry off said daughter. Run. As to getting out. Without the entrance visa, I was unsuccessful in trying to buy a flight out. I could try to hitch on a cargo ship, something I had done leaving Papua New Guinea in an as yet untold story but I didn't want to do THAT again. Well, immigration had their way with me (or I with them). After I told the first table how I entered, they shook their head and said "you came in the back way?" Apparently having a name for coming in by the southern islands with smugglers. I got passed from table to window to table with the same response until finally I was hooked up with a guy name Ali Badjao. That has two connotations. He was muslim (in catholic northern Philipines) and he was from the south where originated the badjao pirates. He was all good about it. His concern was that I was involved in arms or drugs, or that I might have info leading to such types. He had a good laugh about it, took me out to lunch, and had a backdated visa written into my passport so I have proof of the whole story!
