How many members do we have? 1531 by my count.
We have one to change the light bulb, 90 to say this was the best light bulb change in the history of light bulb changing, 50 to claim that the light bulb changing was better during an earlier era, 35 will say that they are wrong and that the light bulb changing was much better in this other era, 10 will write a fanfic about light bulb changing, another 10 will post their light bulb changing artwork (which will be awesome and make me jealous of their artistic talents), 21 will make an inane one word post, and 1,314 will just lurk.
SAPBM,
if you could wipe out one thing out of existence so that it never had existed, what would you pick? It must be something tangible like asparagus or Adolph Hitler or cell phones and not something intangible like world hunger or anger.
For bonus, please tell us why you picked that thing.

Leaf blowers. They've got that crucial combination of noisiness, uselessness, and all-around hideousness that makes me hate them with a fiery passion.

Name a favorite book that you've read many times before and will probably read again soon. Why is it a favorite?

"The Gold Coast" by Nelson DeMille... it takes places on Long Island where I live and is a truly hysterical and riveting account of old world Long Island meeting new world Long Island... it was one of the first books I read for pleasure as an adult and I pick it up again every couple of years... a sequel came out two years ago which wasn't anywhere near as good, so I'm more inclined to reread the original...

I don't have a favorite book. In recent years I have pretty much read only nonfiction historical books. On book I have and have read a couple of times (and may read again but not soon) is Perilous Times: Free Speech in Wartime. I have always loved history ever since I read a kid's biography of Revolutionary hero Francis Marion.
SAPBM,
Comics uses the four elements as the basis for super-powers. Which of the four elements, Air, Earth, Fire, Water, would you want powers based upon? And of course, why?

Earth, has a limited diminion over the others except air.
You have a choice, either invisible but not intangible, or intangible, but not invisible?

Intangible, but not invisible. Better for getting through crowds and avoiding gun shot wounds. Plus even if you are invisible there are ways to give yourself away (leaving footprints, opening doors) or be detected (the sound you make while walking/moving, breathing)

Nachos, though spinach dip is okay. It's not my favorite way to prepare the stuff, is all.

Wendy's is okay. But I prefer Burgerville, a local fast food chain, when I can shell out the couple of extra bucks.
Ironically, their burgers are only so-so to me. It's the trimmings: the fries, shakes, and seasonal sides that are the draw.

With the seasons changing from Winter to Spring, (or Summer to Fall on the other side of the Equator) is there a seasonal food you'll be sorry to let go of until the seasons change back again?

Not really. I am a fussy eater to begin with and all the foods I like are available year round. And aren't most foods available year round nowadays? But know that I think about it, I have been wanting some cherries, but there are none in the store right now.

Any fast-food place. I worked a summer job at Burger King in high school, and it was a soul-crushing introduction to the working world. The manager was mean, my co-workers ran the gamut from nice to psychotic, and the place was disgusting.

Telemarketing. I worked in that field for about six months and oscillated between feeling completely exploitative (trying to sell things to seniors on fixed incomes) and simply depressed (when nine out of every ten people I spoke to either yelled at me or hung up).
