On "Inspector Gadget", Frank Welker was the voices of both Gadget's nemesis, Dr. Claw, and Gadget's dog, Brain.

Each year 40,000 tons of matter from space is added to the planet earth's mass. This matter comes from space in the form of asteroids, meteoroids, interplanetary dust, and comet debris.

To make Pop Rocks, the hot sugar mixture is allowed to mix with carbon dioxide gas at about 600psi. The carbon dioxide gas forms tiny, 600psi bubbles in the candy. When you put the candy in your mouth, it melts and releases the bubbles. What you are hearing and feeling is the 600psi carbon dioxide gas being released from each bubble.

I can name all the characters he played on Transformers, and even which one of them sounded like the same voice he gives Fred from Scooby-Doo (Blades.) I know that he used the Dr. Claw voice for Darkseid on Super-Friends and for Soundwave on Transformers (although the voice processing hid it most of the time, except for one episode where the processing disappeared for a couple seconds.) I know that he's been Fred in every Scooby-Doo incarnation except A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. I know that he's often the off-screen voice of monsters and/or animals in all sorts of live-action movies. That good enough for you?

The knobbed whelk, a very large predatory snail, belongs to the genus, "Busycon".
Yeah... I could see that.

I hadn't yet had my coffee when I made that post. I'm also of the controversial opinion that Leonard Nimoy's Galvatron in Transformers The Movie was inferior to Frank Welker's Galvatron in Transformers Season Three. Welker's Galvatron rules!!

That's funny, because on IMDB it says that Mr. Welker did the Spock scream for ST:III over Mr. Nimoy.

That's way cool! I'll have to watch ST:III again just for that.
Most people feel it's not one of the better Treks, even Nimoy himself! He says he directed it "with the training wheels on."

I do not believe that there is an odd number curse to the treks. 2 - 4 make up one complete story, after that, they pretty much fall flat for me until this last reboot one.

I'll respectfully disagree. I adore ST:VI, although that's partly because I've had a sapphic crush on Kim Cattrall since forever.

I've loved her since Big Trouble in Little China. It's not like I hated them, they just progressively lost more of my interest as they went on. As much as I liked TNG crew...was never huge into their movies.

I'm with you on the TNG movies. I think that First Contact is the most overrated of the Trek movies.

Yeah. What did you think of the reboot? I personally loved it and thought they cast some of the roles perfectly.

I thought it was a great looking movie with thrilling action sequences, but I think it suffered from a weak villain. I had mixed feelings about the casting -- my favorite was Karl Urban as Bones, my least favorite was Zoe Saldana as Uhura (although I do think she was great in Avatar, which made me newly optimistic about her casting as Aisha in the movie version of The Losers.)

Karl Urban was spot on perfect. Chekov was my least fave recast, but he did more in that movie than pretty much his whole history combined.
Looking forward to The Losers.
I just saw that they're talking about Hugo Weaving as the Redd Skull for the Cap movie...which I think would be a good choice.

Looking forward to The Losers as well, and I'd like to take this chance to thank you, Dev, for being the first one to post about The Losers in Dr. Gymll's Cultural Rarities. I've bumped that thread a couple times.

No problem. I need to finish up that series...I had to drop it as well as just about everything else at one point.
I love that the finger pointing gun thing made it into the movie.

The supermarket that I go to (aka the one closest to and within walking distance of my house) has strikers in front of the store. They are the warehouse workers for the store. I feel a bit bad crossing the picket line.

We walked of the movie saying, 'That kid pretending to speak Russian was painful.' only to get home and look stuff up on IMDB and find out he *was* Russian. Doh. But I was pleasantly surprised with the 'big three' of Kirk, Spock and Bones. Nero sure as hell was no Khan 'though...
