One of my favorite restaurants that closed shortly after Hurricane Ike hit reopened several months ago under a new name and in a new location, but I just found out about it recently. I haven't been yet.
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Pink grapefruit gives me a big reason to like the wintertime. It's my favorite of the non-summer fruits.

There're "ugly-voiced" singers that I like, too. Lemmy is the first who comes to mind. Also Ian Hunter. And Lennon, Hendrix, Dylan, Fogerty...their voices are ugly, but they're REAL!
What bothers me is when the ugliness is affected, as I feel it has been with most rock singers beginning with the early 90s grunge bonanza, of which Nickelback is one of the inbred spawn.

My little sister arrived in Parma, Italy yesterday to begin a four month semester to finish her program in the Italian Culinary Institute (prestigious Manhattan cooking school with many famous alumni). She's 20--I'm so proud of her for going, it was a huge step for her.
