A few weeks ago I was having dinner with my family. My daughters, whom I had not seen since the night before, were dressed in coordinating red, white, and blue outfits. My 9-year-old said, "you know, nobody else at school dressed up for Liberty Day."
"What's 'Liberty Day'?" I asked.
"Daddy, you know. You left us the note to remind us that it was Liberty Day."
I had left them a note to remind them it was LIBRARY day so they'd remember to take their books back to the school library.
So now we celebrate Liberty Day every Thursday.
