*heh heh!* I knew that might cause a raised eyebrow or two for her. ! Guess I could have chosen Bendis' Pseudo-Avengers as the crappy book instead!

Either way you're right. As for Shatterstar, I love the character, but Liefeld? It took years for him to become decent after the last time Liefeld had him. Who knows how long it will take him to recover from this - especially with no venue for Shatterstar looming? Back on topic...I loved #3, which I read Wednesday!

Back off topic... I'm hoping for guest apperances in Cable/Deadpool.
On topic again, LSH #3 was by far the best comic I've read this month.

Well, Legion #3 is late getting here. I'm a Canadian subscriber and I've been expecting it for the past week. Not a fan of the wait.

Do you subscribe directly from DC? That IS a terrible wait, if so. Subscribers from DC should get their comics hot off the press.

Yeah, directly from DC.
In the past, when an issue hasn't arrived on time (I mean after a few weeks), I've called them up and they've promised to send a replacement. Usually what happens then is my original comic will arrive in a few weeks, and then the replacement a couple of weeks after that.
My dealings with DC's subscription department has not left me with a lot of faith in them. There was about a six-month gap in my subscription because they were messing up my credit card information, repeatedly. As in, every time I'd call them to see what the deal was, they'd mess it up again.

Matthew, I always had terrible lateness problems with DC books. Way back in the Levitz Baxter Era, I was a Legion subscriber. The books wouldn't just arrive late, but often out of order. It was a real problem. It sounds like they're not much better now.

I subscribed for a year before Baxter, so in addition to the subscription discount, I got oversized 294 and 300 as part of the bargain. But even then they were late, and they gypped me an issue of Titans, because Titans skipped a month around the same time.
The childhood friend Exnihil never had.

I've had various subscription problems, too - my issue #3 hasn't arrived yet either. I'll probably just discontinue it after this year and, if really desperate and can't get into the city, call the CBS to mail me out a copy.

Sounds like DC is really lax with subscribers. Thats no way to run things. You guys who subscribe directly should be their # 1 priority!

Don't worry; I won't post this every day it doesn't come.

Okay, today's mail arrived, and still no Legion #3.
So this time I figured, okay, I'll call them and ask them what's the deal.
I dialed the subscription number and there was no answer. Twice. Instead of leaving a voicemail, I figured, okay, I'll send an e-mail to the e-mail address on the subscription page.
It bounced.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Yes, have a Legion Worlder from NYC pay them a visit. Seriously, I'd try leaving the voicemail.

Matthew, write directly to DC sales department, by regular mail. Just address it to Vice President Sales, since I'm not sure who exactly is handling what with the recent personnel changes.
I had a mix-up over the summer whether my subscription was renewed or not. Unfortunately, the service only had an answering machine and my calls weren't returned. Their mailing address, according to the DC website, was different from the address listed on subscription form that comes with the mailed comic. You can't renew on-line, although they seem to imply that you can. Finally, I wrote by snail mail to Bob Wayne (V-P Sales) , who (or his secretary) must have forwarded the letter to the service and I got an e-mail back from the service. Now if their e-mail is bouncing, I can only suggest you go to DC directly, using the address listed in the fine print inside the comic book.
Apart from the annoyance, which is only that, what irks me is that a subscription is a guaranteed sale for a company, money in the bank, up front. We really want this book to succeed - as it is doing - and to see problems like this are sad, because it indicates that future sales could be undermined. I can (and have now) put the book on my pull-list at the store, so I'll be sure to get it, even if a month later since I don't get there on a regular basis. However, people in some countries, or even some rural parts of North America, don't have access to a comic book store. Maybe they don't know about the other subscription services some people here are using. I just wish DC would maximize their sales opportunities, for their sake and ours.
