The sound of the conga is more pleasing to me than that of the bongo.

Come on everybody, do that conga, I know you can't control yourselves any longer.

Gloria Estefan is hot, and I've had a mini-crush on her since I was a wee lad.

My roommate and I saw an ad for that can opener that you put on top of the can and it cuts the side of the can. The ad starts off "Opening cans the old fashion way is next to impossible!" Now we will say "_______ the old fashion way is next to impossible!"

A friend of mine is a hairdresser who has met a lot of celebrities, and he says Gloria is one of the good ones.

Coming back to work after five days off and opening one's e-mail is nearly enough to give one a heart attack. Maybe I'll just go home and go back to bed.

I like Shannon Farnon's Wonder Woman voice on Super Friends better than B.J. Ward's.

B.J. Ward also played Scarlett in G.I. Joe; Mary McDonald Lewis, who played Lady Jaye on G.I. Joe, had her first animated cartoon role as Lois Lane on Superfriends. Coincidence?

Oh, and every time I read a comic with the Wasp in it, I "hear" Mary McDonald Lewis' voice. I also "hear" B.J. Ward as Ms. Marvel, Frank Welker as both Giant-Man (Welker's "Fred Jones" voice) and Ultron (Welker's "Galvatron" voice), Arthur Burghardt (Devastator in Transformers, Destro in G.I. Joe) as the Vision, and Marlene Aragon (Cheetah in Superfriends, Elita-One in Transformers, and Synergy in Jem) as the Scarlet Witch.

That is such an interesting topic to me that I'm going to start a thread about it in Dr. Gy'mlls right now!

In 1844, the Democrats were split
The three nominees for the presidential candidate
Were Martin Van Buren, a former president and an abolitionist
James Buchanan, a moderate
Lewis Cass, a general and expansionist
From Nashville came a dark horse riding up
He was James K. Polk, Napoleon of the Stump

Austere, severe, he held few people dear
His oratory filled his foes with fear
The factions soon agreed
He's just the man we need
To bring about victory
Fulfill our manifest destiny
And annex the land the Mexicans command
And when the votes were cast the winner was
Mister James K. Polk, Napoleon of the Stump

In four short years he met his every goal
He seized the whole southwest from Mexico
Made sure the tarriffs fell
And made the English sell the Oregon territory
He built an independent treasury
Having done all this he sought no second term
But precious few have mourned the passing of
Mister James K. Polk, our eleventh president
Young Hickory, Napoleon of the Stump

I'm listening to Lily Allen's "Take what you take" and thinking about having a glass of wine.

I hate being forced to take my car to the dealer for even warranty repairs. Stupid "We only do oil changes and tire rotations on Saturdays" dealer. Why can't I take it to a real repair place and get reimbursed?! It would even save them money since a regular shop doesn't charge nearly as much as the dealer.

I was at the St. Patrick' Day Parade in New Haven on Sunday. Let's just say I'm still recovering today on Tuesday.
