I am currently reading the re-boot Legion and I must say that I LOVE the Lori Morning subplots. I don't understand all the negative reaction to her. So it's cutesy and aimed at kids...so what? This being a book about teenage super-heroes, I think it's OK to have a character that some of the younger readers could identify with. Besides, her and Proty are great comic relief. To all you Lori-haters out there...LEAVE LORI ALONE, or face the wrath of Proty!!!

Both belong at the bottom of a very deep trench in an ocean on a far away planet.

Okay, everyone... on the count of three, stick your tongue out.
I wasn't around for the discussion groups when Lori was sulking and conniving through the 30th century, but was she supposed to be the new Glorith and Time Trapper wannabe? Since Glorith was a Lori in the Valor series, I figured that would be developed... but nothing happened.
In fact, that era had the suckiest Time Trapper of Legion history.
Koko was probably Proty III.

That's odd. Rereading the early reboot usually makes me hate her all that more. Now, if she actually HAD become Glorith or some kind of threat to the team, maybe we wouldn't all be bashing as large as we are. As it stands though, she didn't exactly bring anything to the table and all the set-up on her seems completely wasted. IMO, of course.

Actually, the fact she becomes Glorith makes me hate her all the more. What the hell possibly could make anyone think that Lori Moring as the Time Trapper is a good idea/Ditto Glorith
I hate Glorith! I love the TT. I hate Glorith. It's like being replaced with your own ripoff.

I hate to be a hater, but...
The period where the book focused more on Lori than the Legionnaires has to be an all-time low point in Legion history.

One positive thing about Lori is that bad things would occasionally happen to her.

Okay, STOP. Legion on the run. Proty as Garth. The Magic Wars. And LORI MORNING is the all-time low point?? PUH-LEASE!! So maybe she's too cutesy for some. Okay, I accept that. Would the story and character be better suited for a Legion cartoon? Absolutely. But it's not DC Knights people!! C,mon!! I think the whole thing follows an established LSH tradition of slapstick. Remember Fortress Lad?? And come to think of it, those Tenzil stories are just so drama-filled...NOT!! The Matter-Eater Lass story was a heart-wrenching tale of one man's search to get in touch with his feminine side?? Look at the big picture. The Legion is a bunch of kids. They're trying to become grown-ups, effect change for good, and find their place in their society. Lori is that same theme scaled down a bit. Sure it's cutesy and funny, but kids are at that age. We're telling that they have to start behaving like grown-ups, but they get few, if any, of the freedoms that we adults have. Maybe I just identify because I have an 11 year-old, but I like Lori and I enjoy the stories with her in them. Besides, it's hilarious when she bonks the Time Trapper.

She was less annoying than Inferno.

Not that I want a jersey, but I will admit that when she joined the Workforce, there could have been some interesting stories. She was a kid, but changed into an adult when she activated her powers, under the *ahem* management of Leland McCauley. She must have harboured some resentment or rejected feelings regarding the Legion. If this was a Vertigo title, that could have gone places.

Aside from THE QUIET DARKNESS, there is no TMK storyline I liked less than the Lori-focus of the reboot. Even the post-TMK "Legion on the Run" storyline featured heavy & excellent usage of Infectious Lass, which is a good thing. I liked THE MAGIC WARS. So the focus on Lori Morning above the Legionnaires is most certainly a low point in LSH history for me, by that criteria.
Sad. For a minute there, in the early stages of THE LEGION by DnA & Coipel, I thought something interesting might be coming our way re: Lori. Unfortunately, it never materialized.

I didn't hate the Lori sub-plot, but I did grow tired of expecting it to go somewhere. I thought the HERO dial was an excellent idea that could have spun countless stories, especially with Lori's new "parents" directing her in a not-so savoury direction. Sadly, like many things (like say... GATES!!!) DnA just jetisoned it without any wrap-up at all. Man, I'm glad they're gone.

Hey, Magic Wars and Legion on the Run weren't exactly the Great Darkness Saga, but they weren't *that* bad.
Lori Morning, unfortunately was to me. So was Koko. Hell, so was Monstress, the one Legionnaire I was happy to see gone in any way, shape or form. The only period in Legion history that I've ever truly disliked immensely is the post-boot period leading up to DnA (re: Dark Circle Rising, Legion at the beach, Lori bonking Time Trapper on the head, etc.).
Too cutesy, too annoying!
But, um, sorry B-5...I like Proty I and he gets a bad wrap, so I know how you feel!

I think it was an interesting take on Lori. It left me womdering what possible dark shit could happen to her to make her Glorith - or at least tie her closer to the Trapper. Kinda like young Anakin.
Pity she got killed off before someone could resolve it. The fact she wanted to be a hero was very interesting.
Anyway...we now have this new Legion, easily the worst Legion I've ever read

Wow, Lori is nifty!
She's so bouncy and bubbly! Reminds me of my niece.
Though she's a tad...mature...for her age.
