Nobody else has this yet?
Okay: Supergirl is leader.
Kevin Sharpe does the art.
No new HQ yet.
Terror Firma and the Wanderers offered Legion membership.
Three teams are off to look in the 'three most likely places' to find Cosmic Boy, so that Tenzil Kem can investigate him for war crimes:
Timber Wolf, Atom Girl and Shadow Lass to Lallor Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Supergirl to the Gobi rain forest Sun Boy, Star Boy and Lightning Lord to the Ranzz farm on Winath
Invisible Kid is getting a human arm regrown.
My review will be up on Legion Abstract tonight where I will have much to say on these points.

Double ick.
The rest sounds like it has potential, however.

Well I can say after reading the current spoilers for Issue 31 that I'm done with the series .After rediscovering the Legion again with Legion Lost, the Legion, and enjoying the current reboot for the most part, I have to say how disappointed that this series has become a showcase for Supergirl, they should just rename the book "Supergirl II" and get it over with. Sorry for the negative post but I've just gotten a little irritated that the Legion have become nothing more than supporting characters in their own book.

Yeah I'm not happy with Supergirl becoming leader either or her name on the title. It's obviously hasn't helped sales in the long run.

I don' know. There's something sort of logical about it, since she is probably the only Legionnaire not tied to the Brainy faction of the Cos faction.
My big complaint about Supergirl is that she hasn't been used more effectively as the "reader's eye-view" into the Legion and its future world (as Lyle was in the first arc), and that there hasn't been more reaction/fallout to having a hero of the classical age in the presence of the Legion. I mean, it's equivalent to dropping Achilles into Iraq. If Bedard can do more of these things, all the better.
As an aside, does ANYONE understand what is happening with Supergirl, as a character? I mean, I do read her book (mainly because, if it's ever good, I don't want to miss it), I read 52 and WWIII, I read the Superman books and Countdown, and I really don't understand who Supergirl IS, either the 21st century one or the Legion one? Is the Legion Kara a copy? Is she the real Supergirl? Does she have a way to travel between 21C and 31C? I try not to let these things bother me and just take a story on its own merits, but no real comics fan could tolerate this level of f-ed-up ambiguity. I feel like Charlie Brown shouting "Can anyone tell me what Christmas is all about!?!?!?!" Linus, where are you, man?
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Come on, peoples, don't you have a sense of the absurd? It's *Supergirl*, the biggest screw-up in the DCU apart from Ambush Bug. How long do you think she's gonna last before there's a mutiny? I'll comment more after I've actually read the dang thing.

doublechinner, i agree. It seems every title Supergirl appears in she's someone different. In her own title she's a villain. In the Legion she's sweet. In the JLA she's naive. I hate her in her own title but prefer her in the Legion.

I just read it and I kind of like it. It looks like she's going to be Alice in Wonderland asked to run the Mad Hatter's er Cos' asylum after he disappeared. That way she could be leader and the POV character for us 21st century dullards in the crazy 31st as DChinner mentions.
But watch out for that Tenzil character, Lawyers are sneaky enough, but lawyers with political aspirations/agendas could be a funky kettle of fish.
Other stuff I liked were Brainy's fantasy life. So he secretly wishes he could lift mountains and talk up female disaster victims. Makes sense for the nerdy kid.

Please tell me Tenzil isn't 40 years old, purple-skinned, or has two noses or something...

Supergirl has been mishandled for the last year or so. I think (hope) that I am finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Today's issues of "Amazons Attack" and "Teen Titans" give us a good feel for who she is becoming. I like the relationship she is developing with Wonder Girl, and hope the rumors of her joining the Titans are true. She and Wonder Girl are making some pretty big mistakes, but they have some good reasons, and are being horribly manipulated. Kara has been a misguided powerhouse. The seeds are being sown for the Titans becoming friends and providing a place where she can finally fit in and receive some needed guidance.
That being said, I don't think that it will make much sense for DC to have Supergirl in both the Legion and the Titans. I'm hoping today's issue of LSH is the set up for the storyline that leads to finally explaining exactly who she is, how she got to the 31st century, and her exit from the title in the finale.
I kind of liked the way Kara handled her unexpected election as leader. Today was actually the first time I found the Legion's version of Supergirl to be interesting. The personality still doesn't mesh with the girl siding with the Amazons in the 21st century, but there is some personality.
Other spoilers:
Dream Girl makes an interesting appearance.
Star Boy seems to get a boost in status.
The "three meanest mothersprokkers on the roster" promise to be interesting.
Tenzil is kind of cute.
Beauty's where you find it. Not just where you bump and grind it.

I am not happy about Supergirl as the leader. she could have declined the write-in vote. I don't dislike the character, but there are others characters I enjoy more that should have been leader.
the art wasn't bad. so, at least if I drop the book it won't be because of that.
special prosecutor. his intro was rather lame. I mean come on, he couldn't simply issue a radio call or theta band wave supergirl. ugh
I will give this book a few more issues. but at this point, I am really considering just waiting for trades. if nothing else, I won't have to see that guy with the hand coming out of his stomach.

He's young and retains the classic look complete with the shades though he wears civilian clothes like in his political career. And Wamu2, Tenz' intro was exceptionally lame. And completely fitting the dorky history of the character, so I'm guessing Bedard's a fan. I just picked up that Giffen Tenzil issue in the 5yl series.

Although this is my least favourite version of the Legion, I think Bedard handled himself well here. His story-telling was clear, straight-forward and included lots of humour. I think he has potential.
I like the bad-ass team but was not thrilled with the members of the other 2 teams... Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad already get too much face time. The Sun Boy, Mekt, Star Boy team might prove interesting but I wonder why we have to have 2 lightning powered guys involved in the search. Maybe there is a reason for that to be revealed later.

Quick note by my 8 year old son on the election results.... Braniac 5 - 7% Cosmic Boy - 23% Lightning Lad - 26% Supergirl - 54% = 110%!! Wow math sure changed in the future!!! Also Cover art . . . AMAZING. Interiors, not so much. LLLater!

Okay, I just read it. I thought it was good. I'm not wowed by it, but it's a hell of lot better than the Lightning Saga.
I kind of liked the Lois Lane-style entrance for Tenzil, though it would've been better if it weren't just used last year in '52'.
I'm curious about the villains. The one in the Gobi Desert look suspiciously like Evolvo Lad...

by the way, if this is the quest for cosmic boy, why is shown on the group scene in the cover? given the nature of the upcoming arc he shouldn't be there. right?

Unfortunately, covers that actually reflect the contents of the issue seem to be the exception rather than the rule these days.
