I love drawing Violet, 'cause she always looked so worried in the old John Forte Legion stories...

So Bill, have you approached DC with these? With a Tiny Titans series doing gangbusters, this concept seems like a winner and a half!

Thanks! I drew another Insect Queen recently where she's got a caterpillar body, but she's carrying her purse. I guess Lana still needs her makeup even when she's a really disgusting insect...

Craig- Unfortunately, someone pointed out that I forgot to make the Dominator's ears pointy. Damn me! Now I gotta redraw it slightly. Then he can throw an even meaner temper tantrum!

I'm planning on approaching DC, but first I've got to get the OK from DC's new kids comics editor to send in a pitch package. Otherwise the editor can't read the pitch for legal reasons...

I've got my fingers crossed for you!

Good Luck Bill! Keep us posted on your progress. I'm loving Tiny Titans. I'd drool over Li'l Legion.

I vaguely remember some myth like this with a turtle, but there's no real meaning behind it here. I was gonna have Brainiac sitting on a rock, but it seemed a bit boring, so it turned into a turtle. smile [/b]
The Hindus have a story about a turtle who swims through space with 4 elephants riding on his back with the flat world riding on their backs.
Terry Pratchet borrowed the idea from them for his Disc World multiple series.
That world, unlike ours, really IS flat.
smile

PS - And I'll send up a little prayer for your pitch stuff.
Sarcasm Kid wants to do something similar, too.

Thanks Eryk! At this point, I can't think of anything. Maybe, if it ever gets under consideration, some sort of fan support might help. But one step at a time, I guess! smile

Oh no! In all honesty, I'm trying to get a pitch across to DC as well. A holiday special...

That, and I'm trying to type up some short sample scripts to show them my writing.

Oh, Ok. I need to pay more attention to what I'm reading! smile

Cool! Hope you're able to get your pitch through to DC. It's been so long since I've done comics for their kids line (I drew a bunch of Hanna-Barbara/Cartoon Network comics years ago) that I barely know any editors up there these days. I'm still doing art for DC's merchandising department, but that's in NYC and the kids comics line has moved to California.

A holiday comic would be fun. Is it Legion related? Or is it too soon to tell anything about it?

Too soon, but the Legion wouldn't have anything to do with it, sadly. I came up with it for a much different reason that wouldn't affect the Legion.

Well, I'm hoping to read your story in a comic someday soon! We should populate DC with Legion fans turned writers & artists. (Hey, it worked for Jim Shooter & Paul Levitz!)

Bill, you must draw Lester Spiffany, the Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! guy! He's the original temper tantrum Legion character.

Damn! That's a lot of dead heroes! Can't imagine how you'll work them all (or lots of them, anyway) into one comic (much less a holiday comic!), but I'd love to see it published and be able to read it.
