Fabulous stuff, Dean. The minimal sketches with highlight shading, and all in B&W, and all smaller ... it all works better, somehow, than if they were fully inked, in color, and twice this size. Keeps some rockin' edge to 'em, a sense of rawness, or maybe cheap publicity budgets, even a millennium hence.

I really appreciate getting so many responses. It's fun to come up with this stuff and sketch it out, but it's more fun to share it.
I have two more "bands" figured out, which include Mysa, Dawnstar, Tyroc, Karate Kid and Jecky. Then I'll be done.

So, will we be seeing the last couple of ensembles soon?

Mysa Nal, Troy Stewart and Dawnstar each consider themselves mutants, as compared to the general population of their respective homes. Sharing this trait, they bonded together over music. Dawnstar supplies the tribal, native percussion of traditional Starhaven. Mysa weilds a variety of magical instruments, each different, each soothing and mystical. Stewart, known as Tyroc, provides vocals that amaze with their range and effect. [img] [/IMG]

I'm sorry it took a week for me to see this! What an unexpected, yet fitting, ensemble, using each of their talents. The pseudo-candlelight makes it yet more attractive.
Val and Jeckie still remain, right?

Just the reaction I was hoping for with the Musical Mutations! Thanks, Grey. Yes, Val and Jecky are next...

Princess Projectra of Orando and Val Armorr of Earth are a true life couple in love and their music unapologetically shows it. Some may say their lyrics border on sappy, but sometimes it's nice to hear that there will be a happy ending. Val plays a variety of stringed instruments, many of traditional Japanese origin. They blend nicely with Projectra's voice, which makes one wonder...which is lovelier, her voice or her face. ...sigh...
