Just finished colouring this for fun and realised I didn't have anywhere to post it here [I'll repost other stuff I've done that I'm vaguely happy with later]
Honest feedback welcomed, but please, be gentle

Beautiful Wanda pic! The colors look spot on and I like the shine that's etched into her cape and costume. Gives the outfit a bit more depth instead of clothes painted on.
Looks great SoM. Love Wanda's hair. If I had to pick a nit it would be her face. The coloring there looks a bit heavy as if, where it a photo, she is wearing too much makeup. It washes out her features a bit.
The anti-moody: A shadowless (near enough) Mary Marvel pic [Few little bits that are "off", with line edges & the bottom left, but it's near enough to post]

In the interests of Thread Conservation, reviving this old thread to post an attempt at INKING I made on a Jeff Moy Kinetix image (it isn't 100% finished, but it's been lying for over a week with no progress, so I might as well post.)
Feedback is, as ever, appreciated - short of "tHAT SuCKZ" , of course]
Side-by-side with the original pencil scan I used:

Very nice and true to the pendils.. The only thing I could say needs a little work would be the hair flowing behind her, but that may be due to the fact that there is no coloring effects in it.. But believe me...tons better than I could do.
Tried inking another Moy, a She-Ra this time. I took on board what you said about the hair, Dev, so I tried something different there this time. I wasn't quite as faithful to the original pencils though

Another one, Apparition this time (looking at it again, there are a few bits I'd tweak, but it's just about okay to post. And, no, I didn't downscale the original - that's the scan I worked from, in the size I found it):

'Boot, I think these all look great! The Tinya one is my favorite.
Do you have a specific computer program you use to ink?
With the Moy pics, I would think the natural inclination is a 'less is more' approach simply because his art always looks upbeat and bright. Is there a temptation to darken things up a bit?

I'm a tad confused on whether you mean (A) "Are you tempted to try non-Moy pics, by less upbeat artists?" or (B) "Are you tempted to make the Moy pics darker?"
For (A), the answer's "Sure, but I'm still learning/practicing (I've only taken four pics to relative completion, the first of which went badly enough that it's deleted forever ) & clean art like Moy's seems a bit easier to start with" and "I've got a lot more Moy pics handy than pictures by other artists".
For (B), not that much in the ones I've done - there's more hatching in the Apparition than the Kinetix, because it seemed to lend itself better, but there doesn't seem like much point in playing "against" the basic image. Maybe if I found a Moy picture that seemed to lend itself more to going darker, I would, but I can't see myself scratching up or otherwise heavily shadowing a picture like that Zoƫ soon.
