I'm hoping that we don't see her. Or atleast not for a long time. I never found her that interesting and there are a lot of other characters I'd like to see return before she does. Andromeda, Chemical King, Kent Shakespeare, Dawnstar, Blok, Wildfire, Timber Wolf and Tellus are high on that list.

I think the Shikari thing is an 'out' for the other world. If this Legion was to flop they have loophole to ressurrect the old one.

A lot of people think so, but I don't. As others have said, any "out" would be to go back to a high-selling Legion - such as the preboot version.

Well, we're never going to see Shikari *and* Dawnstar. I won't go so far as to say that they're the same character, but they're clearly meant to fill the same niche in the ecosystem. Like Blok and Monstress.

Then I'd choose Dawnstar and relegate Shikari to some sort of administrative position (such as Legion financier).

On the bright side, she wouldn't just be a good financier, she'd be a super financier.
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

I still don't see why anyone think s Shikari would be there as an "out" if this Legion doesn't work.
The very simple fact is no "out" is needed.
If DC wanted to go back to the old reboot, they just have to say Brainy gimmicked something up, or Rond Vidar did. It's comic books after all, and that sort of thing happens ALL THE TIME.
Shikari as an "out" is 100% unnecessary. If she's around it must be to serve some other purpose.

[/b]It was also demonstrated when she intuitively led the lost Legionnaires to the ancient pyramid structure in the Kwai galaxy. At the time, even she doubted her own abilities, but her powers proved true later when the dimensional gateway inside the pyramid turned out to be their way home. What it all means, I dunno, except landing where and when she did was probably no accident.

Actually it would be quite a storyline if Dawnstar and Shikari did meet. They might have a 'friendly' rivalry while actually finding a cameradie what with them actually having wings whole no one else does.

Right on! I'd love to see both of those characters appear simultaneously. After all, the Legion has had multiple Superman-like characters, so why not a couple of winged trackers? Its the Legion of Superheroes, after all, not the Handful of Superheroes. And you're right about the good dramatic potential for such a meeting, too, I think.

They might have a 'friendly' rivalry while actually finding a cameradie what with them actually having wings whole no one else does. Or they might end up in a she-girl cat fight, pulling hair and wings. That'd be hot. Personally, I'm hoping for the latter IF they ever did show up together, which I don't think will ever happen.

If she was used as an escape card it's not nessasary she would take them back to where they came from. Who knows we could end up with a pick and mix legion.

Now that would be an enjoyable exercise--picking a Legion composed of one's favourite versions of individual Legionnaires, I mean.
