I'm just not into this whole dead Dream Girl thing!!!! I want her back NOW! Here's a thread for her.... Guess what? This sketch was done entirely digitally! I used a Wacom tablet and Photoshop. No pencils no paper!!! Could you tell? Naturally, I chose Dreamy for my subject matter while experimenting. Anybody else have any Dream Girl material they'd like to share? Nice pic, Dean!
But the title of this thread made me think of the Elvis movie, VIVA LAS VEGAS and his co-star- Ann Margret.
Picture her with platinum hair and she'd be a pretty good human model for Dreamy. Closer than the oft-mentioned Marilyn Monroe, anyway. At least to me.
I agree with the sentiment 'Long Live Dream Girl', though. Definitely.

I couldn't have detected that it was all digitally produced, but it is different in texture from very popular the Lad Boy picture you made for me a few months back.
Hope we'll get to see more of you experimentations with this new tool.

There's a really beautiful avatar of Dream Girl which Sketch Lad (among others) uses and I was wondering who drew it? (It's the one where the animation appears to have Nura sleeping and then she wakes up)

I sent it to Nightcrawler to see if it could become an avatar, and he promptly made it so.

You MUST learn layers, it'll change your life. I miss your art. It seems like it's been a while. Thank you for contributing to this thread.

couple i did using the WACOM tablet. first is a quickie of 70s style nura. this is just an alternative look for her. not entirely happy with it..she kinda looks like a drag queen! ![[Linked Image]](http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/1115/dreamgirl9xw.th.jpg)

you think "drag queen"; I got kind of a Suzanne-Sommers-hawking-a-thighmaster vibe.
Both are great nevertheless,

knowjack, LOVE the first one! I think it feels even more retro than 70's, though I know that's the era you're depicting.
Heh, yeah, the second one looks kinda like a man dressed as Nura! Her hair looks like a wig and she has some serious shoulders and arms working.
SO glad you contributed to this thread. Thanks!

Cool! ImageShack, my new friend!
So that picture of Nura started off as a blue line doodle done on the Wacom tablet. Then, I used the tablet to ink the black linework. I had intended to do more cross hatch shading, but I'm not good enough with the stylus/tablet to to that level of inking. (Should it even be called ink when it's all on the computer? Virtual inking?) Then, I did the colors with the mouse, since that's how I'm most comfortable coloring. Fun experiments.

Here's a comparison of Alison Kelly (yummy!) from Project Runway and Curt Swan's Dream Girl. Cute, huh? ![[Linked Image]](http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/9033/dreamalisonav5.jpg)

Cute, huh? ![[Linked Image]](http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/9033/dreamalisonav5.jpg) Look at how beautiful Swan's Dreamy is. Seriously, its 'knock-you-off-your-feet' stunning. Its those type of classicly beautiful images that used to really wow me as a ten year old. After being enthralled with more provocative art for a long time, I know I"m getting older, b/c my tastes are reverting back to the more classical styles of what I liked then. The hair, and how it plays off against the arched back. The entire pic is letting off some serious energy!
