I've always thought she should be used more.
I've read that the 'holy grail' of female action figures is a Mera doll that was sold in the 1960's. Apparently there's not many of them around.

In Legion version 2.0, I thought it was a nice touch that she saw through her White Triangle upbringing, and ended up joining the Sisters of the Eternal Cosmos.
My version references:
Legion 1.0--original continuity
Legion 1.1--Levitz/Byrne revamp [Superboy came from Pocket Universe]
Legion 1.2--Glorithverse
Legion 2.0--from Zero Month to Threeboot
Legion 3.0--Threeboot [current] version--though that may change, judging from the "Lightning Saga".

Been playing around with the Ugo site--with some of the guys I went with their traditional looks. You can't really improve on Star Boy's costume! Major improvement on Tyroc there. I could stand having him back on the team in that costume.
I like the quilted jacket; it's unusual for a superhero. Also partial to long coats, so Element Lad's costume is a winner.

Yeah, when I looked at all of them after posting, Mon-El was my least favorite, too. And Cham and Lightning Lad are too similar.
