The scarier, the better! Doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic on the Museum these days... I'll second your suggestion just to see something decided, but don't think there's a lot of hope of getting much of a response. [/b]One of my ideas in the past was to have more than one theme each month, so if you have a theme you wanted to see happen in October, I could second it, creating a tie. Then, there'd be two themes. That is.... unless a whole bunch of voters come along and alter the course of the process....

Actually, since we're halfway through September and there hasn't been much activity, I'm gonna call it.....
OCTOBER IS MONSTER MONTH!!!!
So come on Dr. Funkenstein, start creating your monster so it'll be ready by 10/01/07.

Hey everyone! Have a look here for some great ideas for this month's topic! As well as the classic Legion monsters like Lightning Beasts and Space Whales, have a think about Legionnaires as monsters! Perhaps Timber Wolf as Brin the Wolf-Man? Or that classic flick "The Attack of the 50-Foot Boy"? Or maybe a tale of the perils of the Village of the Damned, where all the inhabitants are blonde and display the Mark of Saturn? What about the chilling tale of Dr Doxenstein and his artificial creation, the C.O.M.P.U.T.E.R.? There... that oughta get you started. You have just 2 weeks! Go! Do!

Monster month sounds good to me (I know I'm always late on this stuff). I promise to post a limerick or poem! I give you both full permission to yell at me in the shout box from now on to remind me to post something in the galleries!

The Incredible Shrinking Violet and her terrifying adventures in the ant kingdom! Tasmia Mallor, Mistress of the Dark! (Okay, Elvira isn't a monster, but if Tasmia is dressed up in Vampirella's costume and has fangs, that should count!) Phantom Girl, the Ghost of Legion's Past! Ferro Lad, the Iron Golem!

Since I've only proposed two for November, here's my third: -- Legion of America! Inspired by the Captain America redesign, depict the Legion as freedom loving, apple-pie eating patriots! Red, white and blue a must!
Long Live America!!

I have an idea for a gallery, but I like the LEGION OF AMERICA idea too much-- so I'll nominate it next month, or maybe Jan- if a holiday theme crops up.

Well, it's pretty clear that LEGION OF AMERICA has received the most interest, so get your submissions ready for November 1st!

I know November just got started (and the stuff that's there is really great) but for December: how about the Legion from the Watchman Universe. Just a thought.

Am I the only comic book reader who never read Watchmen? If this topic is chosen, I'll have to seek out the TPB and buy it. I've long wanted to.

I'm not sure what that means. Is that like "what if the Watchmen were Legionnaires?" Otherwise it seems like you can say any redesign is from the Watchmen universe.

Pirates *and* Ninja!
Jo would totally be a pirate (of space!), but Tinya's a ninja princess! Can these whacky kids work it out, or is it Romeo and Juliet for the 31st century?

Since it's mid November, I think we should call it! Let's have a double themed December:
Legion of Ninja!
Pirate Legion!
ARRR!!!

Personally, I can already envision the pirate version of many of the Legionnaires. Ninja... I'm gonna need to do some research.
