You guys are too harsh on Rokk. The greatest hero born in the 30th century has needs that have to be met. Otherwise, he might become the Time Trapper.
And Ayla is well-known to be an emotional train wreck prone to fits of hysteria. She got Rokk back by driving Pol to kill himself! Isn't that enough?
