Anybody interested in doing a Complete Who's Who in the Legion for Legion World,I have close to 90 percent of full body shots of Legion characters from the past 51 years, and need someone to do bios and provide art for the 10 percent of characters I don't have.

Someone with organizational skills and of course approval from Gary and the Legion World administration.

I think it's a great idea.

I'm actually working on a Legion-related project of sorts for another site, but I should be able to contribute some of the images that you're missing.

I also have the Who's Who in the Legion -- which may be helpful.

As I work 3rd shift now and my monday starts in a couple of hours,I'll check this thread in the mourning when I have more time,to see if there are anymore Legion Worlder's onboard with this.

Be sure to check out the various threads in the Encyclopedia Galactica forum. Character bios have already been posted there.

OK I added Animal Lad which I already had,and worked on these last night.

But the other ones will be a challenge as I only recall a couple of them and would need the issue numbers they were in or good scans of them, that and their names.

And thanks Gary,it seems this my take longer than I thought, seeing how many I missed with the letter A.

Ambush Bug,Alchemist,Apparation,Arrow,Arthramites,Atom Girl.

A suggestion: Don't do multiple entries for characters with multiple names. i.e. Apparition/Phantom Girl.

If for completeness you want to have a picture/entry you could have the main entry be with the name most people know the character by and with the lesser known names just write "See ____" (in the case of the above example, Phantom Girl would have the main entry and Apparition would read "See Phantom Girl"

Thinking a litle more about an Apparition, you may want to start with "See Phantom Girl" and then add anything specific about that version of the character. In this case, you would talk about her being "killed" and then reunited with Phase, her having a Carggian father, etc..

Thank you for your Suggestions Quis, right now I guess I'm just using this thread as a primer.

Starting with the A's and working my way to Z picture wise, along the way getting input from my fellow Legion Worlders.

Hopefully I'll get someone who would want to draw the characters that are impossible for me to get a picture of,and someone to get the bio's and how to present them once we reach Z.

The reason for wanting to do this is in having a reference for old and new Legion fans alike to expand their knowledge of the Legion characters and it's history,as mine is being expanded by working in it.

Thoughts...

will you be lablelling them? I can't remember everyone, so it'd be nice to have their name attached to their portrait.

Will you be organizing them by publishing era? This could solve your "multiples" issue Quis mentioned.

I really like the way you're cleaning up existing published artwork, but if you really need new art for particular characters, I'd be happy to help. In fact, I have a pretty gigantic library of characters used in Holo Model competitions already. Maybe the art from there could be adapted for your needs.

Have fun! This seems like a huge but interesting project.

Thanks Sketch Lad much appreciated, as I said I can use all the help I can get with this huge undertaking.

I don't see this as my project, thats why I came to Legion world, because of all the creative Legion fans on here, and hopefully it will become a team effort to get this done.

I'm not making any promises as my schedule is pretty busy, but I may be able to assist sketchy with the missing drawings.
Just let me know what you need.

Thats cool dedman, nice to here from a fellow survivor, you still working 3rd shift.

Great to have Sketch Lad and yourself onboard, theres no deadline on this project, but maybe we can get it done within a year.

Heres a list of the A characters I don't have as of yet, some of them I don't even recognize, and I call myself a Legion fan,if I could get the issue # that they appeared in that would help, scans would be better.

Agent Bek (Is he a Science Police officer,or the guy who served Tenzil his draft notice)

Ansis (?)
Aragnax (?)
Alloy 12 (I remember this one from the TMK run,Pearson art I believe)

Accordion King (?)
Arachno (?)
Agent Skelter (I remember this one from the Threeboot)

Argent II (?)
Avatar (?)
Agent If (?)
Artros (This ones in the Giffen Poster)

And another fellow survivor, and a fellow Kentuckian also.

I'm using this thread as a primer for the real thing,so anytime you want to jump in with your vast knowledge it would be great to hear from you.

The organizing by era can be put to a vote by the team or all of Legion World, and the lableling is a great idea once we get to the next faze.

Not to interupt but, "Nadir." I didn't realize that had history. I remember hating that in Legion Worlds, Ferro got broken by some unknown from Nadir. Maybe not so unknown as I'd thought.
