Weird; I dropped a "/" when I posted, but they previewed and worked fine for me.

I think I fixed 'em, please try again.

Sorry about that. frown

Really cool! Of course, I have to add the obligatory note.... it'd be cool to see his visor be shiny, reflecting the energy burst in front of him. I love the action shot.

Well, reflections aren't too difficult, I just can't apply the toon texture shader to the visor (but leave it on everything else)...

I still have to finish Wildfire (at the very least, he really needs the little red "bib" around his helmet and a better emblem).

As always, click on the thumbnails for a slightly larger version.

Mind you, an actual reflection on glass might not be all that dramatic...

It might not be dramatic but perhaps the realistic touch will go a long way in character believability.

Also, while you might not want to exaggerate facial or object reflections, other then to curve the images for surface contours and/or elongate/crunch/widen some of them, for energy type reflections 'more' might get the dramatic effect that you want.

For example, in the scene above, you might realistically see what you displayed.
BUT if you wanted to, you could have half to 2/3's of his visor show the flames.

I've always been fascinated with reflections and how they appear in/on different surfaces.

Very true; I think that if I were doing a pict for anything other than fun, that's probably what I'd do. Unfortunately, in this case, laziness wins. wink

Thanks for the suggestions, they're all great and much appreciated.

These are very 'chibish', too.

There's just so many wonderful things on Bits . . . to see!

I'm slowly getting back (long winter in the real world, too many long days at work, and programming an iPod/iPad game), but it'll be a while yet.

I cobbled together a "Young Legion" take on Adventure 247. As always, click the pict for the full-sized image.

Awesome to see this stuff again! Your last two Dawny pics (on p. 3?) still blow me away, with the wings all spread out like that.

Thanks guys, it's appreciated.

I was amazed when I popped in and found out I hadn't posted a pict since December -- I had no idea it's been that long.

I'm trying to get more Legion renders done, but the busy season at work's still under full steam and I'm still bouncing between programming a comic app for my iPad and artwork.

I plan on posting a few Rimbor Adventure picts in the next day or so to help me get back up to speed.

I'm still blown away by the Manga Dawny, too!

Thanks again, I'm slowly squeezing a bit of "free" time for making art again (as well as viewing it, you guys have been so busy over the last few months it's taking me a while to catch up).

It's a long weekend here this weekend, and I'm going to take a bit of a run at a few pages of a Young Ultra Boy story. Here's a quick peek at Jo at the controls of the space speedster, just before he's swallowed by the energy beast. More picts at the Rimbor thread.

As always, click to make bigger.
