Lou: On you KQII pic with the lense flare(?), it looks really good. And you used it perfectly, there this one artist, Chris...something something, who completely over does it, put your use (and Dean's, because I look over his stuff a lot) was right on.

Thanks Viv. I had to tone down the effect quite a bit to get it to work the way I wanted it to without completely obliterating the lighting I was trying to establish. Looking back at it a day or so later I'd say I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out now.

And Dean, why not repost the Moy Kid Q and Shikari you posted for Kat's challenge? That definitely belongs in this gallery!

There are plenty of artists I admire, but in terms of the development of my style I sometimes spot in my drawings early influences like Walt Simonson and Keith Giffen (which is odd since, unlike Simonson, I never copied from Giffen). Thanks for the nice words smile

Awesome job, Loser Lad! I certainly don't mind - I'm honored (actually, I was kinda hoping smile - I love it when a plan comes together). Can't wait to see Gates!

Reboot did a really sweet version of this one but I had this almost complete so I'll drop it into this thread anyway.

Wasn't that one, it was the other one with her in that costume/with the Eye. I DID do a quickie version of that one once upon a time a year ago, but I don't know what I did with it.

Anyway, since YK flagged it up:

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Oh my. Somewhere in the back of my mind I had these two tagged as the same sketch. Must have been a mnemonic misfire.
I like that Eye a lot, it's got real power.

Drake! Those are terrific drawings! Loser Lad's colors are great on them, too. This has been a very lively gallery exhibit! Nice to see color work from Yellow and Reboot, too.

Thanks everybody for your compliments on my colors. And thanks to Drake, Dean and Kevin for providing such awesome stuff to work on! I'd have nothing to contribute to these galleries if it wasn't for the work of artists like yourselves. Take a bow all!

Here's Drake's Gates colored...
