I know Guice's art mainly from Resurrection Man, the original series from the 90s. I also know he co-created Apocalypse in X-Factor, and rather infamously created that one scene in Birds of Prey that spawned the idea of Oracle and Black Canary being romantically involved.

I remember him from the start of X-Factor and the first year of Wally West/Flash, but I will mostly remember his style from his 3 year run on Action Comics. It was different to the other Superman artists but very good.

I remember when he debuted on MICRONAUTS. He was by far the best artist on the series outside of Michael Golden. The sad thing was, Bill Mantlo was recycling the same plot for the 3rd time, only he UPPED the violence and death count, so that by the end, all life on Homeworld had been extinguished.

Guice also got on the revival of NICK FURY, AGENT OF SHIELD, which had been absolute CRAP for 19 issues before he arrived. But then, he jumped ship after maybe only 6 issues.

I think he also did a run on DR. STRANGE before that, which was also excellent. That book seemed like the only thing Roy Thomas was capable of writing during that era that wasnut utter GARBAGE. But then relentless company-wide cross-overs started to interfere...

Mike Carlin managed to recruit some of the most AMAZING artists during his run as editor of the Post-Crisis SUPERMAN. When Carlin left, the entire series fell to pieces. And then, a bit later, it got even worse. (I eventually gave up entirely on it.)

I think the last thing I remember him doing was a run of BIRDS OF PREY with Chuck Dixon. That book was astonishingly good, when Dixon was on it. Amazing to think... as good as Guice was, he was actually a step down from Greg Land! I gave up when Dixon left.

Boy, was all that a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago.
