About Wildfire: Comet Queen (and Laurel Kent) found Wildfire a creep, but Lamprey (and Nightwind) - who knew his origin story - were defending him.

I was thinking the same, Ibby.
Of course, "Post Zero Hour" encompasses a lot. The only character I can think of is the one in the Threeboot where one of the teams, in an attempt to thwart Lemnos, was on the world where their powers get mixed up.

No, that's not it. I'll say right-out that this was not meant as a trick question, by "Post-Zero Hour" I mean the iteration of the Legion that began with Legion of Super-Heroes # 0 and Legionnaires # 0 and effectively ended with the Legion-Titans Special.
I'll throw out a hint - the character was not FULLY robotic.

He's connected with the story of getting Mon-El's lead serum, for one thing.
I seem to have vague memories of someone delivering Urthlo's iconic "Hate Legion... hate... hate... hate..." line, but I can't remember who it was.
