So I just finished a read/review of the Infinitus Saga from JLU.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. What I liked most was that it actually used Legionnaires that we recognized, even if they were just used for cameos to show how big the team actually is, especially the PZH team.

As a bonus it also re-integrated the Legion Lost team into the mix.

As far as I'm concerned, this should be the way forward with the Legion - have the established team, including the PZH-ers, and just start telling stories. No origin story except for maybe a one panel flashback, and the occasional mini-origins as backup stories or something like that.

Just tell the fun stuff. If Metamorpho can have his own damn book, the Legion should too, and they should never have went to Bendis over this integrated team. This told more story in one issue out of six than the entire Bendis run did as a whole.

EDIT: Oops. I should have looked more carefully before commenting. Well, at least I won't have to look at Alanna.

HAH! I will maintain that this is light years better than anything we got in Bendis, and most of what we got in New 52.

There is a good chance that my reaction is buoyed by nostalgia, but I don't care.

EDIT - Yeah, it's not the best look for Alanna, I'll give you that! But she's at least not the SA Alanna!

Have you read the 2004 Adam Strange miniseries by Andy Diggle & Pasqual Ferry? Alanna was at her best there!

I have not! I'm still trying to slog through the Silver Age Adam Strange Omni....
