This is interesting. He's apparently NOT writing it, which is a good thing, IMO.

If we're lucky, they'll be going with the Legion we saw in JLU back in 2015.

I would certainly love seeing a Legion that's an amalgamation of members from different versions!

I was thinking a core Legion should be in charge of Vanishing Point, and the various incarnations would be sent to time anomalies... Too much like EXILES...?

I think I could get behind that.

27. Favorite version of Legion of Super-Heroes? Jim Shooter and Curt Swan. Waid knows who is taking the reins now for Legion and he has “confidence” in them. There should be news in the next few months.

41. How do you feel about the last 15 years of Legion? He likes what Bendis did, and things after he took on the team. “Ask me that question in a year because I’ll have a much better answer.”

I'd prefer a multiversal Legion over an amalgamated Legion at this point, but I'm willing to give anything a shot.

Waid's "everyone will embrace it" comments remind me a bit too much of his claims that the threeboot would be DC's top selling book to be taken too seriously, though.

Yeah, at this point just about anything Waid says or does sticks in my craw. I hope his involvement doesn't go beyond Creative Consultant or some such.

But no matter who's involved, I'll support it.

My guess is legion (fiveboot legion) has already been revived in DC All In Special 1 which has a retroboot legion (original Triplicate Girl instead of Duo Damsel) that includes the various versions like Jazmin Cullen from the Reboot Legion. The legion are probably just brainwashed. Looks like Darkseid is trying to brainwash more characters leading to an event.

I have this exact concern. On the other hand Dan DiDio is thankfully nowhere near DC anymore.

I'm thinking something along these lines too. Or the Omega Legion is just their mirror counterpart and the real Legion comes out to put them in their place at some point down the road.

I choose to find the combination of image and title here amusing, even if it means literally nothing: https://bleedingcool.com/comics/the-return-of-the-proper-legion-of-super-heroes-at-dc-comics/

Mark Waid is writing superboy stories and looks like he is doing his best to retain silver age and bronze age history of superboy and the legion as much as possible. 1 of his superboy stories reminds me of a bronze age story by cary bates and dave cockrum. Will probably see more legion in his New History Of The DC Universe. For my own head canon, I just place the legion in the 21st century so no time travel needed and for the silver age and bronze age legion stories, I replace superboy with superman.

So far, looks like the evil fiveboot legion is the fiveboot legion. My guess is Darkseid used the miracle machine to brainwash the fiveboot legion. Once the time changes of Darkseid are undone (sort of similar to after Flashpoint, the New 52 reboot), what will be restored will be the fiveboot legion.

Considering this Legion has some reps from different realities, I wouldn't mind... though hopefully it comes with a timeline reset. imagine being brainwashed into doing evil deeds...
