I'm pretty certain that my character's identity is not publicly known, but I'm not 100% sure of that.

Adventures typically take place on Earth during the same time period in which they were published.

New page recap:

Debuted after the Crisis on Infinite Earths but prior to Zero Hour.
Female human being from Earth, specifically, the United States of America.
Heroic in nature.
Has powers beyond those of a normal human being.
Has not, as far as I know, been a member of a hero team.
Adventures typically take place on Earth during the same time period in which they were published.
Has had her own solo comic, but did not debut in it, nor during a crossover event, but rather, in the comic of another individual super-hero who has powers beyond those of an ordinary human being, is not female, debuted prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earths on Earth-1 but is neither a Justice League member nor a Titan nor associated with any particular team.
Pretty certain identity is not publicly known, but not 100% sure about that.
Does not wear a cape.

An update: After some investigation, I do think that the solo hero in whose comic my character debuted did in fact become a member of some incarnation of the Justice League.

Thanks for the update. With the latest JL including pretty much every hero it's not really surprising that the solo hero was a part at some point.
Still it is quite helpful that the solo hero was so rarely associated that you thought they hadn't been, so all the common majors are ruled out.

Of course it would be more helpful if I could actually think of someone that fitted!

How about - was the solo hero that your character debuted with be Arion?

This is not an area of DC that I am particularly familiar with but let's keep digging.

Your character cannot be Zatanna who was a member of the JL for a long time and debuted pre-Crisis, but is your character related to Zatanna or her father Zatara?

Re the associated super hero whose book your character debuted in: so the adventures of said hero typically take place during our present?

Was the associated super-hero part of the Justice League Dark team? (A list can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League_Dark#Members)
