So we know that Darkseid has his own version of the Legion, the designs of which seem to take some inspiration from various versions of the Legion in past continuities.

We've also seen a reference to the "Legion of Infinite Worlds", which may be the same as Darkseid's Legion.

So, what if, rather than being something completely new, Darkseid's Legion actually does consist of Legionnaires plucked from various previously existing continuities?

What if, at the end of this storyline, these characters are uncorrupted, and we get a version of the Legion that is multiversal, and teams up characters from different incarnations?

It's an idea that people have suggested in the past, but could this be DC's plan for the Legion going forward?

I'm not against it, but the quality of execution is crucial, in both writing and art.

We shall see.

Still "Fickles" to my friends.

I have mixed feelings about it, and it's not really my preferred way forward, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Yeah, same here. At least the connection to Darkseid will probably bring in some of the older fans.

Isn't this akin to what was going to happen with Lemire's Infinitus team via Rebirth prior to Bendis? As that pretty much had EVERYONE.

I've always been in favor of pulling in the uniques into a merged Legion of sorts, but Ann is 100% correct in that it has to be done well on the page.

agree with both. I would love to see a Legion formed of various "uniques" from different eras, but in a way that is well-done.

Did anything ever happen with the reboot Legion turned Wanderers at the end of Legion of 3 Worlds? Seems like they’d fit in here.

Nope. I'm pretty sure they haven't been seen since LO3W, though, as mentioned, several characters unique to that iteration of the team showed up as part of Lemire's version, thought nobody really knows what was going on with that continuity-wise.

And those characters in Lemire's version, were mixed with others not part of the Reboot Legion - the Lemire version looked like an amalgamation of different "Boots.

Also glimpsed were some Reboot-only characters who weren't even in Legion of 3 Worlds - like Monstress and Magno. Also non-Terrorform Kinetix. (which made me very happy wink

That might be retconned as the Legion of Infinite Earths that just got mentioned in Action Comics.
