GL has it - Lyle casually mentions getting royalties from some ice cream flavors he invented, at some point in the Reboot (can't remember if Legionnaires 0 or 66 - i think it was 66).

That was kind of a swag - I remembered it was something silly, but not the specific thing.
New Question - Xanthu needs help! Star Boy returns to his homeworld to help flush out the criminals. What does he use as bait?

Copper? Weren't their pipes made of gold or something because it was common and copper was rare?

So it is from that first story where we met Thom for the first time. Hmm. Tin?

It's not that specific a material (similar to stile's earlier guess), but there is something about the materials and what they were used to construct. So it is from that first story where we met Thom for the first time. Hmm. Tin? No - this is a VERY late Silver Age story.

Lead, because it blocks x-ray vision?

Definitely not lead. Again it was not a specific element, but things collected in a certain way.

I thought GL had it with coins, after the "on the money" comment.
A shipment of devices that when combined with previous heists, would make a super weapon?

LOL - No. A new hint along the lines of the coins guess. They were things created with other valuable things.

I'm giving it to Stile - In Action Comics 385, Star Boy uses "statues made with precious metals" as bait for a criminal gang to lure them out.
Over to you!!

Thanks GL. I had to look up that story after you named the issue because I couldn't remember it. I haven't read that story in years! It was fun to look at it again. I always liked how they used a Naltorian as a crook.
When Bouncing Boy wins a competition to prove who is the mightiest legionnaire, which 6 legionnaires are shown removing the emblems from their costumes to acknowledge him as the champion?
