I've not seen the Duellists in many years. Ridley Scott pre Alien film.

The most recent one was fairly forgettable The last one I watched was the one from several years ago when Ridley Scott returned to the franchise. I thought it was terrible, just a load of nihilism-chic trash.

There’s quite a bit of trash in Amsterdam centrum these days. Folks trying to pry open garbage bins to get at cans

Sounds messy, and yet also a comment on our times

I thought it was terrible, just a load of nihilism-chic trash. I recently saw Alien 3 on the TeeVee a few weeks back. I was not impressed and neither the story nor the VFX have aged well.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched a movie I watch them all the time.
They are sitting in a collection on my shelf. My attention span has gotten too short for me to watch a movie in one sitting, even a really good one. These days, I prefer sticking to my favorite animated cartoons, be they 7 minutes long or 20 minutes long.

Our cable system has Boomerang which is great to see everything from the WB classics to the shows from the 90s For Xmas, I plan to ask for one of the 4 recent Blu-ray sets of WB Classics, several of which are previously unreleased 1940s gems directed by Arthur Davis.
