nope and nope, this was a direct quote that makes sense in hindsight  it seems that applicants are not considered super-heroes... in this case, it was an established super-hero who was rejected from membership and the rejection refers to someone who could not join in the first place Live Wire is a good one, but he was a member first, so doesn't count here and Plaid Lad is SW6

CMK has it, it was Impulse! As Ultra Boy commented, Impulse was the first superhero rejected for membership - established superhero, anyway. Other Legion rejects from earlier e.g., Lume, Micro, weren't counted.

Not sure why you wouldn't have counted those (Lume was a hero among his people, wasn't he? I wouldn't count Micro, as he wasn't really rejected but he lost a contest to even be the applicant), but I'll take it.
Which eventual member of the Justice League was one of the main antagonists in Karate Kid's solo series?

As I already clarified in one of my responses above. You can take that up with the writers/editors. so I hope that's enough to make you sure, I'm happy to scan a page from the comic to prove what I'm saying. as for Lume being a hero among his people, no proof of that. Certainly, Ultra Boy/the writers/the editors didn't seem to equate "planetary champion" with "superhero". I think I'm taking a break from the trivia threads for a while. Busy time in real life now, and I don't want to expend too much energy overthinking my trivia questions.
