While I'm sure it wouldn't have been as successful if they'd continued in that vein, it still fascinates me as an interesting "what if". James Best is massively underrated as a character actor. He's always a delight to see in whatever he's in. There's an episode of Perry Mason where he plays, against type, a posh character and he's almost completely unrecognizable.

And much as I love the third season of Transformers, I sometimes wonder what it might have been like if the movie had taken place between seasons one and two. Still "Fickles" to my friends.
