One of our common meals is tuna in a white sauce with sultanas thrown in.

Happy enough to open cans of tuna for my feline overlord, but that's as far as I get with tuna.

Even though I like Julian Cope, I've never acquired a taste for the German bands of the 1970s (the most famous one is Can) that he loves so much.

Uh...I like some 1980s Scorpions albums, though. blush

Never really got into Can, but love Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk!

I'd forgotten about Tangerine Dream! Yeah, I like their more accessible stuff, from film soundtracks and such!

Cope considers them too mainstream for his taste.

It's ironic that Cope would be drawn to record and listen to extremely challenging music, when he has such a great ear for melody!

Tangerine Dream also composed the theme music for the 80s TV show Street Hawk:

I love it, too! My favorite of those shows was Airwolf.

I remember really liking Highwayman, but I haven't seen it since it was on.

Same here. frown

I so, SO wish it had been released on DVD.

Such a kitsch-tastic cast: Sam J. Jones, Jacko, and Jane Badler (the last of whom went right over to the Mission: Impossible revival after the original MI female lead was fired.)

That's right - I forgot Jane Badler was in that MI series!

Yeah, the MI revival was pretty decent as such things go, but the original 60s-70s version is still the best. My favorite season is the 3rd, where Barbara Bain and Martin Landau had their best moments.

The less said about the Tom Cruise MI movies, the better.

OG is definitely the best.

The first three of the Cruise movies were wildly uneven, but IMO they've found a groove ever since they added Rebecca Ferguson to the mix. Of course
they just killed her off due to her career trajectory going on hyperdrive
, but we'll see.

Barbara Bain and Martin Landau would then star in Space 1999, with the pair hired to connect with the US audience.

Conrad Bain played Mr. Drummond on the retrospectively cringe-inducing sitcom "Different Strokes."

The behind-the-scenes drama of that show was more entertaining than the so-called comedy onscreen.
