In a World's Finest Mary Marvel solo story from the Bronze Age, by E. Nelson Bridwell & Don Newton, she fought a teenage villainess with electrical powers. What did this villainess call herself?

Storm Silvana would get them sued by the X-Office...
I'll go with...
Lightning Lass! (thinking that Ayla would be light lass at the time, freeing up the name)

Not Lightning Girl.
"Lightning" is actually the second word that makes up her name.

Congratulations, Ibby! Yes, her name was Chain Lightning.
Fun little story, and so refreshing to see Mary get the spotlight!
Over to you!

nice! always pleased to see a Mary Marvel spotlight, Annfie!
let's see...
this is from an animated series, but I suppose it should be fine for this thread.
in the JLU toon, when Amazo returns to Earth, the first line of defense is in space. We have Superman, Green Lantern, a fleet of Javelins... and 5 other heroes. Who were these 5?

I never watched JLU but let's have a go.
Hawkman Adam Strange Hawkgirl
Drawing a blank on other space-capable heroes apart form the Lanterns ...

good start! a clue, Amazo had the powers of all the original League members at that point, and had gained more power. So the League needed a lot of firepower up in space, along with having space-worthy heroes
