Jarvis was badly injured, but it was the destruction of his personal items that brought Cap to tears, particularly the ripped photo of his mother. She didn't like having her photo taken and that was the only one Cap had. He berated himself for getting upset over it when others had been so badly injured, but Monica supported him with how it was like his past and his connection to his roots being destroyed.
