Thor is correct! He traded up from a human soul to a mutant soul to a mutant with multiple souls to a god. But in Thor, he bit off more than he could chew.

nice I was thinking of which Avenger would be a trade-up from Jean "Phoenix" Grey, and Thor was the first that came to mind! OK... after the Justice Society encounters Magog, some follow him. They eventually reconcile. But one JSA-er leaves the team. which one?

CMK has it - Amazing Man it was! I think they game some lame reason that he wanted to go home and help people. Kind of annoying, I thought he had the potential to be one of the more interesting of the "new kids". Cyclone stayed on, part of why she became one of my faves

He was an interesting character, and it's always pretty interesting when a super-hero gets involved in helping people in more of a down-to-earth way than simply fighting villains.
Which Green Lantern foe is the last survivor of a planet destroyed due to John Stewart's negligence?

I did not mean helping people that way was lame. I meant that it was lame, they had him decide to leave the team for that, and only showed him once more, I believe.
Instead, they wrote him out almost completely. If they had had him appear still, then that would have been interesting in fact, rather than just in concept.
the book had a large cast, but he was the only one who left. I wish we had seen him from time to time, after that.

Justice League Europe was forced to take French classes. Who was the only non-French Leaguer who did not have to attend that class?

In the post crisis relaunch, Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor felt a bond between them, when they first met. What turned out to be the reason for that?

Got it in one Ann!
There was me worried that It might need lots of hints.
I'm rereading the 1st w volumes of Perez's run.
The first issue I got was from a small book shop a few towns away. I had the afternoon off school for an appointment, so got to go round the shops unsupervised. It was the first appearance of the revised Cheetah.
I wasn't getting the book because, well Wonder Woman. But after that, looked out for them. It's a superb run, and after these years, I appreciate the pacing and relationships more than when I was a kid.
Over to you, Fickles!

Thanks, Thoth!
Although I still have my reservations about this Wonder Woman run, I do give Perez et al full credit for tying the whole WW2 thing together so seamlessly.
And I will be very interested to see what you think of Perez's grand finale, War of the Gods. I used to consider it awful, but the most recent paperback collected both the mini-series and the Wonder Woman tie-ins, so I found it to be a lot more involving this time (DC even included all of the beautiful Chris Sprouse promotional artwork!)
New question very soon!

It was awful while it was going on because it was so badly coordinated and issues were coming out out of order. I'm sure that it works much better collected thirty years later as a trade paperback. Oh, and also because they felt obligated to shoehorn Lobo in just because he was the Wolverine of DC back then.

All very true, CMK.
I wonder if it still would have been as big of a mess if Karen Berger hadn't been on maternity leave? (BTW, the poor soul who ended up shouldering the responsibility for the mess was...six degrees of Legion...Tom Peyer!)
